Lady Antebellum Releases New Single “What If I Never Get Over You”

Lady Antebellum is back on the radio airwaves and at digital partners today with “What If I Never Get Over You” serving as the first single under BMLG Records. Representing a new chapter as well as a return to the beginning for Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood, the plush mid-tempo ballad features Scott and Kelley trading anxiety and shared despair over an ending relationship.

To celebrate, at 6:30P CT tonight Lady A will host a Facebook Live fan event where they will perform the new single with a group of hand-selected fans and take questions, before the continuation of their first-ever Sin City OUR KIND OF VEGAS residency, at the Palms Casino Resort’s Pearl Concert Theater.

“I feel like ‘What If I Never Get Over You’ is a turn back to our beginning, both in the sound and the core of who we are,” said Haywood. “We love being able to put out those big questions about lost love, like ‘What if time doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do?’ or ‘What if I never move on from this relationship?”

Produced by Dann Huff, “What If I Never Get Over You” is one of those instant classics—a song that feels like it’s been around for years because of its relatable lyrics and warm, comforting energy. The duet underscores the universal truths at the center of its lyrics while teardrop guitars and crashing drums illustrate how the emotions that rush through ex-lovers’ minds can run in similar circles even when the two people involved are miles apart.

“We hit this place of wanting to go back to where we came from,” explained Scott. “This single is a great example of that. We’ve got 13 years of life together, of work together, of ups and downs in our personal lives. All of that kind of encompasses one same feeling: ‘We’re here, we’re loving it, and we’re turning over a new leaf — one that feels really familiar and authentic to ourselves as a band.'”

“It’s been several years since we’ve had a chance to release a duet like this as a single,” added Kelley. “When we played it for our team their excitement reassured us this song was the one to lead with out of the gate. It’s been a bit of our magic from day one. Our very first song in 2006, ‘All We’d Ever Need,’ was just written for Hillary, but she said, ‘Charles, you should sing a verse too’ and that’s how we started the co-lead singer thing.”

The ailing lyrics behind “What If I Never Get Over You” are heightened through its official music video, which premieres today at 12:00P CT on YouTube. Director Sarah McColgan hones in on the sentiment of a love-lost relationship and its haunting thoughts that are left behind.

“I was playing golf with one of my producers, Julian Bunetta, in Knoxville and we were both playing terribly, so we decided to drink a beer and suddenly we both started playing much better,” Thomas Rhett shared. “Julian looked at me and said ‘well, ain’t nothing a beer can’t fix’ and we both were like, ‘We have to write that.’ As soon as it was done I knew I wanted Jon on it. It’s basically about not taking life too seriously, and I just knew Jon’s voice would be the perfect addition to the song.”

Walker Hayes Releases Deeply Personal New Track “Don’t Let Her”

Walker Hayes is no stranger to channeling difficult emotions into unforgettable music. The release of his latest single, “Don’t Let Her,” available on Friday, May 17th, is no exception.

Written by Walker, with Andrew DeRoberts and multi GRAMMY-award winning producer and Songwriter Shane McAnally, and produced by McAnally and DeRoberts, “Don’t Let Her” is both an uplifting and devastatingly honest song that chronicles a conversation between Walker and a hypothetical man taking his place if something were to happen to him.

In addition to the single’s release, Walker is also sharing an accompanying lyric video which gives a heartwarming look into him and wife, Laney’s, long lasting relationship – from meeting in elementary school to the beautiful family they now share together.

Life on the road definitely takes its toll on an artist. New city every day, nowhere feeling quite like home, the weeks without seeing your loved ones – it would be hard on any of us. It was during his time touring the UK, that Walker Hayes began feeling the strain of distance from Laney and their six children.

While overseas, Walker found himself thinking of his wife constantly and reminiscing about all the things he loved about her. In true Walker fashion, he decided to create an effusive list of qualities he admired about her, and then text her the composition. Later, in a writing session, he took the list of texts and crafted them into the modern-day love letter that is “Don’t Let Her.”

“I’m honored to be sharing this powerful and massive song about Laney. I was touring in the UK missing her and my family terribly so I started texting myself specifics about Laney,” says Walker. He continues, “Things that if somebody were to hang out with her, what would they need to know about her and then it kind of turned in to a letter to whoever would take my place if something were to happen to me. That’s what this song is about and I hope you guys can relate in some way.”

Matt Stell Releases Music Video Ahead of ‘Everywhere But On’ EP Release

In anticipation of the release of Matt Stell’s seven-song Everywhere But On EP on all platforms on Friday, May 24, a music video for the title track debuts today, Friday, May 17. Directed by Austin Peckham and filmed in Nashville, TN and Pensacola Beach, FL, the moody clip depicts Stell brooding over a heartache he cannot find a way to outrun.

I’ve been from Savannah to Long Beach,
trying to keep your memory out of reach.
Guess there’s just one place I haven’t gone.
I’ve moved everywhere but on.

The track, penned by Stell along with Paul Sikes and Lance Miller, has already landed on Spotify’s “New Boots,” “Wild Country,” “Next From Nashville,” and “New Music Nashville” playlists, as well as Apple’s “Best of the Week,” Amazon’s “New in Country” and “Introducing: Country,” YouTube’s “Country’s New Crop,” and Pandora’s “New Country Now” lists.

“’Everywhere But On’ is song with a lot of my own story woven in to the lyric,” says Stell.  “I’ve had my heart broken, I’ve worked a lot of jobs, I’ve traveled all over the country and been gone so much that I had to have my mail sent to my mom’s house. Sometimes being on the move is the only way I can deal with things, even if I know that as soon as I stop I have to deal with whatever I’m trying to outrun.”

Named one of Taste of Country’s Artists To Watch and a CMT Discovery Artist, Stell co-produced the Everywhere But On EP alongside Wide Open Music’s Ash Bowers.  The highly-anticipated forthcoming project includes the lead single and one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best Country Songs To Hear Now,”Prayed For You,” plus “Home In A Hometown” featuring fellow country standout, Jimmie Allen.

AJ McLean Tugs At Heart Strings With New Track “Give You Away”

AJ McLean has released another stunning focus track, “Give You Away” from his upcoming LP, Long Road. The song is a stunning and emotional ode to the beautiful inevitability parents face of one day watching their children start their own lives. Listen to “Give You Away” HERE. This focus track comes hot on the heels of the release of his first single, “Boy And A Man” currently getting ads at country radio nationwide.

Hard at work in Nashville on his first solo LP, AJ has spent the past year immersing himself in the sound he loves with the likes of acclaimed songwriters Clint Lagerberg (Keith Urban/Blake Shelton/Rascal Flatts) and Brett Tyler (Maren Morris/Chris Young/Joe Nichols).

First single “Boy And A Man” is a perfect intro into “Long Road”, and “Give You Away” a natural follow up. Both of these tracks tell a story that’s innately personal and important to AJ.

The single, written by Rob Crosby (Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride) and Dave Fenley (NBC’s The Voice) and produced by Jason Massey (Kelsea Ballerini) is a perfect showcase of heart and soul, an invite into AJ McLean’s world, a story of longing and love wrapped in his signature throaty vocals and a melody that’s all twang and warmth.

“Give You Away”, written and produced by The Jam invites the listener into the world that’s most important to AJ, his family. His daughters, featured in the single art, are his entire universe and this song is him acknowledging that they’ll grow up, start their own lives, and that he won’t be able to protect them forever.

There’s the AJ McLean you think you know: the member of one of the most successful groups of all time, the multi-platinum selling Backstreet Boys. A group that has become the best selling boy band in history, having sold over 140 million records, and have earned themselves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Then there’s solo AJ McLean, the ultimate trendsetter and a raw singer/songwriter, an artist dripping with soul and bare emotion. A legend of the 90s boyband era, AJ has always been a cultural vanguard. You’ve seen him in the front row at New York Fashion Week, you’ve seen him on stage, on the small screen and even on the big screen and now you’re going to see him at his best…

“I’m kind of a chameleon,” he states. It’s true: AJ has his hand in everything from fashion to acting, but it’s making his solo music that really sets him apart, and we’re so excited to finally be sharing his foray into this exciting new body of work.
