Midland continues to deliver on the classic Country vibe that put them on the map with the latest track “Playboys” off their forthcoming sophomore release LET IT ROLL (Big Machine Records), out August 23. Penned by band members Jess Carson, Cameron Duddy and Mark Wystrach alongside GRAMMY®-winning songwriters Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the song is a tip of the hat to the trio’s early years on the road playing honky-tonks.
LET IT ROLL is available now for pre-order here: https://midland.lnk.to/LetItRoll.
“Playboys” follows the release of lead single “Mr. Lonely,” which is quickly climbing the radio charts. The band debuted a rowdy, star-studded music video starring Emmy-winning actor Dennis Quaid as the notorious bachelor and protagonist looking for love in all the wrong places. Additionally, in advance of the album’s launch, they released “Put The Hurt On Me” which showcases their three-part-harmonies and a softer side to the trio.
The Washington Post named Midland’s debut album, ON THE ROCKS, “the year’s best country album” and fans agreed, propelling it to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. The New York Times cited their “dangerously honed sense of aesthetics and deadpan sense of humor” that also helped garner GRAMMY nods for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group and Best Country Song, plus a 2018 ACM Awards win as New Duo/Group.
Midland has spent the last two years on the road with George Strait, Tim McGraw and Little Big Town, as well as touring around the globe. They just announced their LET IT ROLL TOUR which kicks off in New York City September 17 and traverses the globe to Australia throughout the fall.

Riley Green Set To Embark On Headlining “Get That Man A Beer Tour”
Additional ticketing information for GET THAT MAN A BEER TOUR is available at rileygreenmusic.com
With a passion for performing night after night and connecting with audiences directly, Green has let his fans lead the way when it comes to releasing music. His debut single “There Was This Girl” hit No. 1 earlier this year and immediately thereafter he released current single “In Love By Now” as it quickly became an instant fan-favorite at his live shows. Billboard has also praised the Alabama native’s work ethic saying “Green describes his success as ‘accidental,’ which is perhaps his humble Southern way of saying he simply put in the work the old-fashioned way. No gimmicks, no viral moments, no co-signs from a more established artist, just playing shows — a lot of them.”
Currently on Brad Paisley’s 2019 WORLD TOUR he will also join Jon Pardi this fall for the HEARTACHE MEDICATION TOUR in addition to these newly announced dates.

Dylan Scott To Release “An Old Memory” EP Honoring Keith Whitley
Rising country star and Platinum selling artist Dylan Scott announced in an exclusive story with Billboard that on August 16th he will release a very special EP, An Old Memory, via Curb Records.
The seven-track project honors the late Keith Whitley, a personal hero of Scott’s whom he attributes as the artist who helped him first learn how to play guitar and write songs. An Old Memory is available for preorder HERE.
“I love old school country music,” shares Scott. “I grew up listening to Keith Whitley songs with my dad. The tone of his voice was so unique and as a songwriter, his melodies and lyrics inspire me. Quite frankly “Between An Old Memory And Me” is the song that helped me get my record deal. Keith is truly one of my musical heroes.”
Check out the music video for “When You Say Nothing At All” HERE.
An Old Memory was recorded in the legendary Sound Emporium Studio in Nashville, TN – the same studio where Keith Whitley recorded many of these songs. Scott was also able to work with several of the original musicians, adding to the power of the project.
Produced by Jim Ed Norman, Matt Alderman, and Curt Gibbs, the album features legendary and award-winning musicians, Mac McAnally, Eddie Bayers, Larry Paxton, Biff Watson, and Carl Jackson. Scott’s father, Scotty, joins him on guitar for “When You Say Nothing At All,” and Jesse Keith Whitley, the son of the legend, lends his vocals to “I’m Over You.”
To round out the EP, Lorrie Morgan, Whitley’s wife at the time of his passing, joins Scott on the duet, “Tell Lorrie I Love Her,” which was one of the last songs he worked on prior to his death in 1989.
An Old Memory Tracklist:
- Don’t Close Your Eyes
- I’m Over You
- When You Say Nothing At All
- Ten Feet Away
- Miami, My Amy
- Between An Old Memory and Me
- Tell Lorrie I Love Her (with Lorrie Morgan)
Blake Shelton Tops The Charts with “God’s Country”
It’s “God’s Country” – and we’re just living in it! Less than four months since its radio debut, the latest single from Blake Shelton crowns both the Mediabase / Country Aircheck and Billboard Country Airplay charts. It’s Shelton’s 26th country radio No. 1 and earlier this year became his 16th Billboard Hot Country Songs chart-topper.
Of the No. 1 Shelton said, “This is such a powerful song and I’m so proud to be a part of it. When I first heard the song I thought it sounded like a remedy. Like a cure. It just sounds like a missing link in country music for the last 10 or 12 years. It feels like a combination of ‘Ole Red’ and ‘Country Boy Can Survive’ to me which definitely have a place in country music. Those songs are just rare.”
With more than 125 million on-demand streams already, the “southern rockin’ foot-stomper” (Rolling Stone) is the fastest country single in past year to reach one million track equivalents. “As long as I’ve been making music I’m still shocked and amazed at the power of a song and I’m never prepared for it,” said Shelton. “‘God’s Country’ is an anthem for anybody and everybody who’s proud of where they come from. I’m honored to have been given this song from Devin Dawson, Hardy and Jordan Schmidt who are incredible writers.”
The country superstar debuted the “chest-thumping anthem” (Billboard), which The Tennessean declared one of Nashville’s best songs of 2019 so far, at the 54th ACM Awards. His performance earned widespread acclaim, with the Las Vegas Review-Journaldeclaring that it “smoldered like the wildfires raging on the video screens behind [him].” He has also brought “God’s Country” to life on The Voice stage last season and NBC’s fifth annual Red Nose Day Special.
Fans don’t have to look too far for another glimpse of Shelton at country radio following “God’s Country.” The five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year is featured on Garth Brooks’ new song “Dive Bar,” which was the most-added song at country radio upon impact with 135 stations. It is also the highest debut in seven years, landing at No. 23 on Mediabase and No. 16 on Billboard. The duo is set to perform the song live for the first time at a sold-out show in Boise, ID on 7/19.
Shelton is also treating crowds to several special stadium performances alongside “King of Country” George Strait. After joining Strait for the Buckeye Country Superfest in Ohio last month, he will again team up with the legendary star in Foxborough, MA later this summer. Shelton’s “Friends & Heroes 2019” tour earned the Platinum-selling entertainer a spot on Pollstar’s “Top 100 Tours in Q1” list. Featuring special guest Lauren Alaina and with special appearances by the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins, the arena run sold out all 18 dates and was one of the only nine country tours to make the list.
Between select tour dates, working on his forthcoming album and filming for the next season of The Voice, Shelton remains focused on his Ole Red partnership with Ryman Hospitality. He recently opened a new location in Gatlinburg, TN and in May celebrated the grand opening of The Doghouse, a music hall and events venue expansion, at the original Ole Red location in Tishomingo. The $144,500 fundraising proceeds from both his and friend Luke Bryan’s set benefitted the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation. Check out Good Morning America’s coverage of the event HERE.
