Martina McBride Releases New Single “Reckless”

Country superstar Martina McBride has spent the last several months in the studio, recording new music for her thirteenth studio album and her first for Big Machine Label Group imprint Nash Icon Records. While the full project is due out this spring, fans get a taste today (2/26) with the release of the powerful title track, Reckless,” to all digital partners. Listen here.

The track was written by Sarah Buxton, Zach Crowell and Heather Morgan with producers Nathan Chapman and Dann Huff at the helm in studio. “Reckless” showcases Martina’s unmatched vocals as she belts out lyrics that mirror her own story of love’s saving grace.

“I was immediately drawn to this song.  It’s really a song expressing gratitude to someone who is willing to reach out and see the best in you and loves you unconditionally,” states Martina.  “I feel like its universal and that most everyone has someone who believed in them and maybe even pulled them through a hard time. I’ve heard people say it reminds them of their relationship with their mom or sister or counselor,” elaborates Martina.

Robert K. Oermann of MusicRow says the following about the single “Reckless”:  “This is downright inspiring.  Like a beam of brilliant sunlight, her voice pierces through the heart-pounding production.  I love it when she rocks, and one of the outstanding things about this performance is that she phrases with so much subtlety while soaring into the sonic stratosphere. Another masterpiece from one of our most gifted interpreters.”

Maggie Rose Announces Spring Tour In Support of Double EP Set

Nashville’s most “astute” (New York Times) artist Maggie Rose announces a spring tour in support of her double EP set — ‘The Variety Show – Vol.1’ and ‘The Variety Show – Vol.2’ — with shows slated at SXSW’s Historic Scoot Inn, New York’s Webster Studio, Philadelphia’s World Cafe and Washington, D.C’s 9:30 Club, with D.C.-native The Morrison Brothers as support.

Hailed by The Wall Street Journal “Speakeasy” as “determined yet sweetly serene,” Rose’s latest single “Broken” showcases how her continuously evolving music makes her one of the torchbearers of the New Nashville sound. With this genre-defying blend of titles, Rose has created a collection of music “without staying in the confines of what is considered ‘radio friendly,’ without reservations and without any apologies.”

Ranging from “effervescent” (The Washington Post) pop-rock tracks to more composed, roots-leaning country numbers, Rose’s latest tour celebrates what The Washington Post hails as “less an act of reinvention than liberation.”

“I really wanted to drive home the variety-show element of these releases,” says Maggie. “For people who know me, it is a way to also introduce them to some sides of my musicianship that I haven’t showcased before. For people who don’t know me, this will be a cool introduction to show my versatility.”

Building on her multifaceted flair as both an artist and creator, Rose adds The Morrison Brothers — an act she’s producing with Dallas Davidson/Play It Again Publishing — as support, returning to their home market (D.C.). With additional Summer/Fall shows to come, a complete list of Maggie’s tour dates is available below and at iammaggierose.com.

Clare Dunn “Dresses Up” Country Radio with New Single ‘Tuxedo’

Born on a farm in southeast Colorado, Clare Dunn grew up working cattle and driving tractors and combines, so she admires a hardworking man, like the one she writes and sings about in her new single, “Tuxedo.”

“‘Tuxedo’ came about just through me wanting to express my hopes and what I look for in my dream guy and what I hope to be able to find…and as a farm girl I grew up admiring farm boys,” says Clare. “‘Tuxedo’ is a song about all the things that I admire about a man. He’s hardworking, he’s not afraid to go out there and do what it takes to provide, but he’s just a down-to-earth guy. I love Justin Timberlake and all his suits and ties and that sort of a picture of a man, but in reality, for me, a guy in a pair of jeans and a dirty white tee looks just as good to me.”

Clare will hit the road with Lee Brice’s Life Off My Years Tour in March, but first, she hit the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on March 5th.

“Tuxedo” is available online at iTunes now, grab your copy here. The new single is also at country radio, be sure to call in and request.
