Lindsay Ell’s Debut Album THE PROJECT Makes Huge Impact on the Charts

Amplifying her red-hot momentum, Lindsay Ell’s debut album The Project (8/11) has earned the No. 1 position on the Nielsen Soundscan Current Country Albums Chart this week. An incredible feat, Ell is only the second solo female to debut at No. 1 with a debut album in 2017. Additionally, the album solidified a Top Ten All Genres debut, landing at No. 7 on Nielsen’s Top Current Albums.

“The Project is the record I’ve wanted to release since I was a little girl, but as an artist, sometimes it takes time to figure out what you want to say and how you want to say it. I’m so grateful to my entire team for standing by my side throughout the whole process. Every single fan that has come to my shows, stood in meet and greet lines, and sang songs that they’ve learned through YouTube videos is what keeps me working so hard. Having a No. 1 selling album is incredible and I’m overwhelmed by the support. I’ve finally made a record that’s me, and I’m just happy fans are loving it as much as I do,” shares Ell.

Following an explosive week of high-profile television and media appearances including a performance on NBC’s The Today Show (8/9), as well as an outpouring of support across social media from celebrities and the music community at large, widespread critical acclaim continues to pour in for Lindsay Ell and The Project. USA Today lauds Ell is “a true triple threat,” and also draws comparisons to the legendary Bonnie Raitt and Shania Twain. ABC News writes the album is “ear-catching” and “commands the crowd,” while Sounds Like Nashville boldly declares, “her growing talent as a songwriter and standout vocalist add a whole new element to The Project, which demonstrates that Lindsay Ell is one of the best, most diverse and talented acts poised to breakthrough the Country scene.”

“I’m a firm believer good things happen to good people and today is the epitome of that. Lindsay Ell has worked long and hard for this moment and we are so happy for her.  She is a special person and it’s so gratifying to see this album receiving the accolades it deserves,” said Jon Loba, EVP, BBR Music Group.

Ell’s triumphant chart-topping debut is a result of years of artistic innovation, persistence and tenacity, coupled with a rabid army of loyal listeners. Produced by GRAMMY-winner Kristian Bush (Sugarland), the breakthrough artist co-wrote 9 of the album’s 12 tracks. The Project features her current single “Waiting On You,” which CMT.com applauds “showcases the best of Ell.”

With current single “Waiting on You” currently climbing at Country Radio, the Stoney Creek Records artist continues to bring her new music to live audiences across North America supporting superstar Brad Paisley on his Weekend Warrior World Tour. In turn, Paisley supported Ell by proclaiming, “When you think of the list of all the best attributes you could throw into a blender to create a musical artist, such as soulful vocals, writing chops, ability to play the fire out of a guitar, being gorgeous, and not to mention class and kindness, Lindsay is all of it. Here’s to her future.”

Jerrod Niemann Gears Up For Release of New Album – THIS RIDE – October 6

Hitmaking singer-songwriter Jerrod Niemann returns with a daring set of free-thinking Country tunes this fall, as THIS RIDE hits the street October 6. Announced exclusively on Entertainment Tonight’s Certified Country, THIS RIDE – his fourth major album and his first for Curb Records – marks the beginning of a new chapter for the PLATINUM-certified #1 singer (“Lover, Lover,” “Drink to That All Night”). Niemann, regarded as one of Country music’s most progressive artists, has nearly a decade of outside-the-box success as a songwriter, singer, and performer under his belt.

“My new record, THIS RIDE, represents a journey of life and music, and where it’s led me today as a man and an artist,” shared Niemann. “These songs either dig up some old yesterdays or make me look forward to tomorrow. That’s why I’ve never been more excited to share THIS RIDE.”

Co-produced by Niemann himself with studio ace Jimmie Lee Sloas – who also co-produced 2014’s HIGH NOON – THIS RIDE features 13 inspired songs that reveal where Country music is headed through the organic approach of its past, ranging in style from soulful anthem to red-hot party banger, and from lighthearted jam to deeply meaningful ballad.

Sourced from a stable of all-star tunesmiths including Shane McAnally, Ashley Gorley, Ross Copperman, Rodney Clawson, Craig Wiseman, Dallas Davidson, Natalie Hemby, Josh Osborne, Chris DeStefano and more, each track bucks the conventional country wisdom – just as Niemann has done throughout his career.

Meanwhile, the same resonating vocals that made the sultry “What Do You Want” into a GOLD-certified Top 5 hit are back, and ‘90s country icons Diamond Rio guest in a harmonious standout.

Fans and critics alike have already praised THIS RIDE’s first two singles – the feel-good “A Little More Love” duet with longtime friend and labelmate Lee Brice, and the classy romance of “God Made A Woman” – with Rolling Stone Country gushing that the latter “seems to reflect an evolution for both the country singer and the genre itself.”
