Twenty-two-year-old rising country sensation Kane Brown has inked an exclusive recording contract with Sony Music Nashville, and joint venture partner Zone 4, where the much-sought-after singer/songwriter becomes the newest artist on the RCA Nashville roster within the Sony Music Nashville label group.

In the accompanying photo, label executives celebrate the signing with Brown at his sold-out headlining performance, Saturday, January 30, at Knoxville, TN’s Cotton Eyed Joe.

A Georgia native who grew up in Redbank, TN, Brown initially built an online fan base posting his own performance videos of cover songs whose popularity led to the viral success of his 2014 independent single, “Don’t Go City on Me,” and the 2015 release of his debut EP, Closer.  Brown’s major-label album debut for RCA Nashville/Zone 4 is set for release later this year.

Recently named one of “13 Country Artists to Watch” by Billboard, Brown shared word of his record deal via his Facebook page late this week, with the posting sparking nearly a quarter-million likes within 24 hours.

In addition to his own tour dates, Brown will join headliners Florida Georgia Line when the duo launches its 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour beginning in March, with select dates on sale now.

Brown’s first single for RCA is slated to hit country radio within the next few months.
