Danielle Bradbery Shares New Track, “Potential,” Ahead of Sophomore Album Release

Singer/songwriter, Danielle Bradbery, keeps surprising fans, releasing yet another track from her forthcoming, sophomore BMLG Records album I Don’t Believe We’ve Met due December 1. With her lead single “Sway” at radio now, Bradbery reveals the track “Potential,” along with a companion video on PEOPLE.

“Potential” makes the fourth track to be released from her transformational sophomore album, after Bradbery released single “Sway,” as well as tracks “Human Diary” and “Hello Summer” earlier this year.

“When I wrote it, the other girl in the writing room threw out the idea that ‘I’m not in love with you, but with your potential,’” Bradbery says as she explains the process of co-writing “Potential” with GRAMMY Award winning Emily Weisband to PEOPLE. “Our jaws dropped to the floor. It’s a beautiful but sad meaning people can relate to immediately… So we kept it as simple as possible and reflective.”

“Potential” is the second of the seven songs on the 10-song album that Bradbery co-penned to be released. After getting the opportunity to release her debut album in 2013 as the winner of NBC’s The Voice at age 17, Bradbery took four years to hone her writing skills and find her own style before re-introducing herself on I Don’t Believe We’ve Met. The album is a shift for the vocalist that Rolling Stone Country says has a “fresh new sound,” and shows the world who the Texas-native is, after focusing on her own style in the writing room and on the stage.

“If you’re not a songwriter on it personally, it felt like I was just that outer shell of the song,” Bradbery told PEOPLE of finally writing her own songs. “I wasn’t one with the song and I finally feel like I am. Writing really helped me figure out what the sound was going to be for my record.”

Written by Bradbery, Johan Lindbrant and Weisband, “Potential” captures the feeling of being in love with the thought of who someone could be rather than who that person actually is with lyrics such as:

If you just grew up, yeah
A little more, then
You know that you’d be perfect, you’d be perfect If you just tried harder Like I know you could, then You know that it’d be worth it, it’d be worth it

Fans will receive “Potential” along with lead single “Sway,” “Human Diary,” and “Hello Summer” when they pre-order I Don’t Believe We’ve Met HERE.

Devin Dawson To Release Debut Album DARK HORSE January 19

One of country music’s most tender and articulate wordsmiths” (Tennessean) Devin Dawson announced via social media that his debut album Dark Horse will be available everywhere January 19 via Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville. American Songwriter also shared an exclusive acoustic video of Dawson performing the personal and vulnerable title track, noting the way it “shows off the classic country vocals and acoustic guitar prowess he has come to be known and loved for.”

Co-written by Dawson and Andy Albert, “Dark Horse” is one of four songs available as in instant download for fans who pre-order the album here.

“I’m beyond excited to FINALLY share the release date for my debut album,” said Dawson. “And when it came time to choose a title, nobody talked about other options – we knew immediately it should share the same name as ‘Dark Horse.’ Despite being written after the album was ‘finished,’ I felt it was absolutely necessary to include this song. ‘Dark House’ captures every corner of my heart, everything I am and everything I believe in.”

With a co-write credit on every track, Dark Horse further establishes Dawson as a standout singer/songwriter and storyteller and his talent has not gone unnoticed. He was recently hailed as “The Nashville Idol” by People Magazine, currently featuring him as the only male recording artist on their Ones to Watch list.

Earlier this year, Rolling Stone tapped Dawson as a New Country Artist You Need To Know declaring him “the complete package.” He was included as one of five new artists Breaking Big in Country by Entertainment Weekly and HITS Magazine predicts that he’s one of three Ones to Watch in Nashville.

Dawson was also recently honored by his alma mater Belmont University during the 10-year anniversary celebration of their pioneering songwriting major. Warner Music Nashville presented an endowed $25,000 scholarship in Dawson’s name and the university matched the contribution, creating a $50,000 endowed scholarship.

Having already toured with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Maren Morris and Dan + Shay this year, the California native is on the road now bringing his “stare inducing stage presence” (ELLE) to label-mate Michael Ray’s “Get To You” tour. The iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist is rapidly approaching Top 20 at country radio with his debut single “All On Me,” which he performed earlier this year on Late Night with Seth Meyers, tallying over 30 million on-demand streams to date.

Chris Young Inducted Into the Grand Ole Opry

Grammy-nominated vocalist Chris Young was officially welcomed and inducted into the Grand Ole Opry family this evening by his friend, Opry member Brad Paisley. Backstage before taking the stage, Young recounted how he had begun listening to the Opry at around age four and first saw the show live at around age eight. “There is always such a respect for where we all come from here,” he said.

After Young had performed two of his hits and two of his favorite country classics for a sold-out audience, Paisley took the stage to present Young with the Opry Member Award presented to each official member of the Opry family.

“Just look where you are!” Paisley exclaimed, noting the pair’s presence in the Opry’s famed circle center stage. “When I was first made a member of this crazy family, I had no idea the actual way this is a family,” Paisley said. “I quickly was accepted and asked to be a part of so many things. Chris is one of those people that will make the most of this. … This is a great human being, and that’s what the Opry needs.”

After the Opry member award presentation, Young held his award and said, “The two best words I can think of are ‘thank you.’” The hit-maker then concluded his set in the night’s first show along with Cassadee Pope on the pair’s number one single “Think Of You.”

Growing up in nearby Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Young dreamt of one day taking the stage at the Opry, and his dream came true when he made his debut on June 15, 2006. His dreams grew after that night, and tonight another dream came true as he stood on the stage being welcomed as an official member of the Grand Ole Opry. It’s a big week for Young, as he also releases his 7th album, Losing Sleep, this Friday, Oct 20.
