Luke Bryan Set To Mentor Blake Shelton’s Team on NBC’s The Voice

Bluke is back! That’s right Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton will once again team up together, this time on NBC’s hit musical competition, The Voice. Serving as Blake Shelton’s team mentor, Bryan will work with contestants and offer advice to help them through the battle rounds.

Luke has already taped his mentoring sessions for Team Blake in L.A. “I enjoy being in the moment with those artists and in my gut feeling, tell them the best thing I can tell them and really lift them up,” Luke shared with The Tennessean. “I think I get lost in the shuffle in the media of the guy who dances on stage. I think people don’t realize that I moved to town, wrote songs and got a record deal. Early in my career, I was so nervous about big moments, I didn’t even enjoy them. I just want to help these people settle into who they are and enjoy the moment.”

Season 12 of The Voice will premiere on NBC February 27, 2017.

Reba Releases “Back To God” Music Video

Offering a timeless message and authentic imagery, Reba McEntire releases the music video for “Back To God” today. The cinematic narrative melds together various storylines that come together as she sings with conviction. The lyrics guide: “You gotta get down on your knees / Believe, fold your hands, and beg and plead / Keep on prayin’ / You gotta cry, rain tears of pain / Pound the floor and scream His name / Cause we’re still worth savin’ / Can’t go on like this, and live like this / We can’t love like this / You can hope the best, make a wish / The only answer is / We give this world back to God.” Watch Now.

“I’ve been asked a lot lately about why now was the right time to release this song,” reflected Reba. “I think it is always the right time to give it back to Him because we seem to mess things up on our own. We all need to just love each other more unconditionally, without judgement because we can’t do this on our own.”

Director Mason Dixon methodically filmed scenes throughout Nashville at Tulip Street United Methodist Church and Mount Olivet Cemetery, focusing on not only the actors but the ambience and camera roles. Clips outside of the church were shot with a hand-held camera to capture realness and instability while those inside were locked to emphasize stability and serenity. Reba is beautifully somber as she walks through the sanctuary, highlighting by the architecture with brass organ pipes climbing toward the ceiling and ornate stained glass windows. As characters seen earlier in the video begin to arrive, there is a feeling of connectivity in brokenness but knowing there is a God who brings joy.

From the set last month, Reba revealed details about the double-disc collection that features traditional hymns of “faith” and contemporary tracks of “hope.” She also announced her first-ever headline show at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on February 15, which sold out in less than an hour after the Facebook Live.

Reba co-produced “Back To God” – written by Dallas Davidson and Randy Houser – alongside her band leader/musical director Doug Sisemore. Jay DeMarcus (of Rascal Flatts) also provides producer credits on SING IT NOW: SONGS OF FAITH & HOPE, due out February 3 jointly through Nash Icon Records and Capitol Christian Music Group. Fans who pre-order the album via http://smarturl.it/RebaSingItNow can enjoy a new track each week leading up to the release, including collaborations with her Mama, Jackie McEntire; sisters, Alice Foran and Susie McEntire Eaton; daughter-in-law, Kelly Clarkson and good friend, Trisha Yearwood.
