Ryan Kinder Releases New EP: “Deconstructed Studio Sessions”

Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville’s Ryan Kinder released his brand new EP, the Deconstructed Studio Sessions to all streaming services today. The track listing features studio cuts of some of Kinder’s songs as well as a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry.” Fans who go to www.ryankinder.com to connect on Spotify and follow his playlist of favorite cover songs will also unlock an exclusive video performance of “Sorry.”

Kinder recently performed at a sold out show with Brandy Clark at Nashville’s Basement East and will be playing select dates through the summer. Kinder, who was included as one of Tomorrow’s Hits in Billboard and named one of “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know November 2015” by Rolling Stone, is already receiving high praise from critics.

Billboard calls Kinder “a singer-songwriter with an intense, urgent vocal style” and Storme Warren of SiriusXM’s The Highway told listeners, “You’re witnessing the birth of one of the greatest artists to come from Music Row,” when he first played Kinder’s song “Kiss Me When I’m Down.”

Born in Knoxville, TN, raised in Birmingham, AL, and shaped as a performer in the University of Alabama bar scene, he brings a wide mix of unconventional influences and natural talent as both a singer-songwriter and guitar player.

Kinder is working with top Nashville songwriters Ashley Gorley, Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne, Chris DeStefano and Tom Douglas. He’s also been on the road with acts as diverse as Tim McGraw, Zac Brown and Brett Eldredge and ended this past year on tour with Jennifer Nettles and Brandy Clark.

Keith Urban To Showcase RIPCORD With Three One-Of-A-Kind Album Launch Events

Friday, May 6th marks the much-anticipated release of Keith Urban’s eighth studio album RIPCORD, which has already produced two #1 songs (“John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and “Break On Me”) and one of the fastest rising chart singles of his career with “Wasted Time,” the current single streaking to the top of the charts.

The album’s release will be celebrated with THREE unprecedented one-of-a-kind events that will take place within days of RIPCORD’s release, as Urban crisscrosses the country with stops in New York City, Nashville AND Los Angeles. Fans are invited to attend ALL of the events and should go to http://smarturl.it/ripcordevents; for further information. (Limited seats are available for the Los Angeles event.)

Urban’s first stop will be in New York City, where he’ll premiere all-new music from RIPCORD (as well as some of his hits) at Stage 48. Those unable to attend will be able to view the May 4th New York City show, titled TIDAL X: Keith Urban, live online on TIDAL, the global music and entertainment streaming platform at 8:00 pm at

Following his May 4th stop in New York City, Urban will return home for a free outdoor noontime show in Nashville’s Bridgestone Plaza, complete with some of Nashville’s finest food truck vendors. The album release event is being done in partnership with the City of Nashville.

“Keith is an asset to this city on every level,” said Butch Spyridon of The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “His talent as a singer, songwriter and musician is unquestionable and as a citizen he is a model for others to follow. He has given back time and time again and it is truly appreciated. While he is celebrating the release of his next great record, which is already a hit in our book, he is still giving back! We can’t say enough and it is an honor to help celebrate the album release by partnering with him for this this event.”

After the Nashville event’s conclusion Urban will head off to Los Angeles where he’ll grace the stage of the 200-seat GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater for a special intimate evening KEITH URBAN “Inside The Songs Of RIPCORD.” The ‘inside the actor’s studio’ format will include moderator Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, and intimate performances and stories behind the writing, producing and recording of Urban’s groundbreaking new album.

“The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to host Keith in our Clive Davis Theater,” said Bob Santelli, Executive Director of the GRAMMY Museum® at L.A. LIVE. “He’s one of our industry’s most prolific songwriters, insightful producers and most electrifying performers. He’s continued to break new ground through his music and that’s never been more apparent than on his new album RIPCORD. It’s our honor to be hosting this one-time only event.”

The recording of RIPCORD, Urban’s nearly 18-month musical journey, features some of the music industry’s most celebrated and influential musical collaborators from Pitbull to Nile Rodgers to Carrie Underwood and Dann Huff to Jeff Bhasker, Greg Wells and busbee.

Its release coincides with the June 2nd launch of the four-time Grammy Award winner’s ‘ripCORD WORLD TOUR 2016’ with Brett Eldredge and special guest Maren Morris.

CMR Exclusive: Getting To Know Brett Young

Republic Nashville’s newest rising star, Brett Young, has been making a significant impression on the country music genre, and country music fans, with his new music. His debut single, “Sleep Without You,” is at country radio now and can be found on his debut self-titled EP.

“It’s so crazy. Before you know anything, you think that there are multiple ways to do this. Once you find out kind of how radio works, it’s a little bit intimidating” Young shares with us about his debut single impacting country radio. “To have this happening, and after 10 years of chasing down the music dream, to have a song that’s on national radio is pretty surreal

“Sleep Without You” is the lead single from Brett Young’s debut self-titled EP. The album features six solid songs that really captures the artist’s talents. Of his new collection of music, Brett says “It was really fun to choose the music because it’s my first major label record so I had my whole life worth of songwriting to pick 6 songs from. We tried to give a little bit of everything, the sad song that comes from the heart, the happy song, the feel good song, little bit of up-tempo, little bit of slow dance type stuff, and throughout all of it I wanted to maintain honesty.”

“There’s something real that I went through or lived through in every single song. I feel like if the artist seems connected, it makes it easier for listeners to connect.”

The California native has been writing for years and co-wrote all six songs on his self-titled EP. While being a songwriter is very important to him, it is also crucial to him to have the right songs on his albums, even if he didn’t write it. “I always say I’m a writer first. But at the same time, it’s important to me that the best song wins.”

“If there was ever an outside song that we felt like not only fit me and my sound, but was better than the song we had, we would go there. In fact, I’ve brought outside songs to the label saying “I love this,” and every time we struggled to find me in it. I’ve been lucky enough to have a label and a publishing company behind me that believes in my music.”

Young is currently out on the road showcasing his brand new music, complete with a new band. “It’s going to be interesting. Most of the time when you go out with a full band there’s less talk and more music. Since this is a new record and a new band, I’m going to be playing with the balance between how much I can actually talk to the audience.” Overall Young hopes his shows will be a story-telling experience, and that fans connect with not only his music but also with him.

Speaking of storytelling, that is an aspect of the genre that resonates deeply with the country newcomer. “I think that is has been so easy with a lot of the hip-hop & pop music to get wrapped up with what is happening sonically, and forgetting that they’re not really saying anything. The ability to tell a complete story in 3 1/2 minutes is really difficult, and it’s really special that country music has never lost that.”

Brett Young’s debut self-titled EP is available now, pick up your copy on iTunes HERE. Also, be sure to call in to your local country radio station and request “Sleep Without You.”
