Ryan Griffin Releases Sake Of The Summer EP

Ryan Griffin released his debut EP, Sake Of The Summer, today on all streaming services and digital retailers. Check it out here and here.  Ryan’s debut single, “Back Seats and Burnt CDs” is currently spinning on Sirius XM and is part of their Highway Finds program.

Armed with the success of co-writing Kelsea Ballerini’s number 1 single “Dibs,” Ryan is launching off that momentum with Sake Of The Summer, an emotional look at the past, present, and future. The EP explores a wide ranges of styles and influences, creating a lasting experience for listeners.

Releasing his own music is a dream that’s been a long time coming for Griffin. Even at an early age, he proclaimed he wanted to be a country music singer and never wavered in his pursuit. During his freshman year in high school, the Florida native was given the opportunity to meet with a major label executive in Nashville. When the exec saw and heard Ryan’s raw talent, he told him to return in a few years. So, he did.

After enrolling in Belmont University, Griffin not only was introduced to songwriting, but he also was able to carve out his identity as an artist, which has proven invaluable to his journey as a musician.

So who is Ryan Griffin as an artist? The same young man he is as a person. He’s a young husband and father. He’s a singer who draws from such varied influences as George Strait and Brian McKnight. He’s a songwriter whose words mirror the truth, vulnerability and compassion he feels.

“My whole life is about being transparent and being real,” Ryan admits. “Music needs to be honest, or I don’t want to represent it. All I’ve wanted to do was make music that’s true to who I am…authentic…that I can stand onstage and be proud to sing.” That’s who Ryan Griffin is. And that’s what makes Ryan and his music worth getting to know.

Josh Turner Readies March 10 Release Of New Album Deep South

Josh Turner’s highly-anticipated new album, Deep South, releases everywhere this Friday, March 10th on MCA Nashville. This is the multi-platinum-selling, award-winning country star’s sixth studio album and the excitement is clear.

“I learned a lot through that process, and I think I grew as a writer and as an artist. But there’s been a lot of life that’s been lived in those four years too,” says Josh. “It’s not just the musical aspect, but the life stuff affects the music side of things. There’s been health things that have happened. We had a child since I started this record making process. The business itself has changed a lot, and there’s been a lot of changes on the business side for me. So, it’s just a really culmination of all that – life and lessons and age and just the kinds of songs that I came across, the kinds of songs I wrote, just the backstories on all of it.”

Turner takes his rich baritone to NBC’s TODAY Show March 14 to perform his Top 15 hit “Hometown Girl.” The catchy tune is moving critics and fans alike with over 100k in digital sales and topping an impressive 60 million streams across all platforms. Before heading to New York, Turner takes to the road for Deep South album release events across the southeast beginning in Key Largo, Fla. March 9; Orlando, Lakeland and Ocala, Fla. Kalie Shorr Makes Big Impact With Release Of Slingshot EP

Last Friday (March 3), singer/songwriter Kalie Shorr released her new EP, Slingshot, capping off a remarkable year wherein she was named a “Highway Find” by Sirius XM’s The Highway, an “Artist Discovery” by CMT, a 2017 “Artist You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone Country and one of only seven 2017 “RISERS” artists by Taste of Country.

The Slingshot EP was produced by Aaron Eshuis with the exception of “Fight Like A Girl” which was produced by Jason Afable and provides the lyric that inspired the EP’s title: “What he doesn’t know is I’ve got a slingshot and a stone”. Released as a single in 2016, “Fight Like A Girl” is responsible for making Shorr the second best-selling debut country female of last year behind only Maren Morris. That single received massive airplay on Sirius XM’s The Highway, CMT, Radio Disney Country and has generated over 1.55 million streams on Spotify.

“I feel so embraced by the Nashville community, and their support has enabled me to do so many things that, historically speaking, were impossible for an independent artist. From radio to streaming to media, I really feel the love and know that my successes have come from all of them seeing something in me and my music and wanting to help,” says Shorr. “It has changed my life and I am so appreciative.”

Slingshot has been well received by critics with Taste of Country dubbing it a “Critic’s Pick” with “five tightly packaged pop-country songs that will hook your heart.” Sounds Like Nashville says that Shorr “put her heart and soul into her songwriting to create a vulnerable, yet powerful, project that listeners from all around can relate to.”

Breakout track “Nothin’ New” from Slingshot is already being featured on Apple Music’s The A-List: Country playlist, Whiskey Riff ‘s New Music Friday and has been singled out by blogs Queens Of Country, Variety Beat and CMChat.
