Dylan Scott Experiencing Multiple Career Milestones

Curb Records’ hot breakout artist Dylan Scott earned Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for his current hit single, “My Girl,” marking the first of his career. Included on his self-titled debut album, he wrote the romantically charged song about his girlfriend – now wife – and all the little things he gets to see in his girl that no one else does.

This month, he also checked another career milestone off by headlining a sold-out show at the world famous Troubadour in Los Angeles as part of his MY TOWN TOUR (6/6). Featured on Taste of Country, acclaimed photographer Joseph Llanes was on hand in Los Angeles to capture incredible stage shots and some of the more intimate moments throughout the day. An indicator of Scott’s rising popularity, as soon as the singer launched into his smash “My Girl,” the crowd erupted, chanting the lyrics in unison. The single just climbed to #6 on Mediabase’s Country Radio Airplay chart and #8 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and has surpassed 35 million Spotify streams.

Adding to a series of exciting firsts for the artist – debut album, Top 10 single, Grand Ole Opry performance, sell-out show at the Troubadour, GOLD record – Scott and wife Blair are expecting a child later this year. No word yet on if it will be a boy or if he will have another reason to sing “My Girl.”

After releasing his self-titled debut album, having landed in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, Scott has impressively garnered a total of 100 million radio plays on Pandora and surpassed 170 million on-demand streams on services such as Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Sounds Like Nashville applauded the album for being “well rounded and genre-bending,” while Taste of Country praised, “The 13-track album is versatile, combining Scott’s love of traditional country with distinct pop and urban influences.”

Scott is playing select dates throughout the U.S. and Canada the summer. Stay tuned for big news coming soon!

Chase Rice Inks Deal With BBR Music Group

Chase Rice has quickly gained a reputation as a bit of an outsider with a wide independent streak in the country music world. Now, as initially reported by Rolling Stone’s Marissa Moss, he’s joining a record label that sees his point of view, inking a new deal with BBR Music Group/BMG, and that means new music for fans, and soon.  Rice has been assigned to the Broken Bow Records imprint, where he joins labelmates Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch.

Rice joined BBR executives at their Music Row offices for the signing (see this week’s episode of CR24/7 here). “I can’t tell you how excited I am to join the BBR family,” Rice said. “I knew from the moment we began talking that the people here understand where I’m coming from, and I can’t wait to share all the new songs we’re about to make together. In fact, we’re so excited, we promise we’ll have new music for you within a month.”

Rice has been one of country music’s most exciting figures since arriving in Nashville. He co-wrote Florida Georgia Line’s megahit Diamond certified “Cruise” and his 2014 major label debut album, Ignite the Night, opened at No. 1 and yielded two Top 5 hits with “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight,” in addition to over 900,000 in album sales. Rice initially released “Ready Set Roll” through his own Dack Janiels label and later partnered with Columbia Nashville for a wider release, though he never gave up control of his music to sign a long-term deal.

He selected BBR because of the label’s proven track record of fostering an independent spirit while still helping deliver hits for its acts. BBR is the home to country music outliers like Aldean, Lynch, Randy Houser, and Granger Smith, all artists who began as independents and continue to chart their own paths with millions of songs and albums sold.

“Chase has a track record of connecting with fans whether it is socials, concert tickets, singles, or album sales,” said Jon Loba, EVP BBR Music Group. “He knows himself and his audience and has formed a rabid following. We are so excited to have him join our family and can’t wait for everyone to hear some incredible new music.”

The 31-year-old singer-songwriter has had an eclectic life, playing football at the University of North Carolina, serving as a NASCAR pit crew member, even a role on a season of Survivor, all before finding success as a singer/songwriter/entertainer. His unrivaled live show has led to numerous sold out tours, a slot performing on Kenny Chesney’s stadium tour stops in 2015, and to ESPN’s Marty Smith noting in that sense, “Rice is an anomaly.”

Rice wrapped a highly successful run of pub dates earlier this year and is playing select shows and festivals throughout the summer. For news and upcoming tour dates, visit www.chaserice.com or follow on Twitter @ChaseRiceMusic and www.Facebook.com/ChaseRiceMusic.

On August 31, the crew born and raised in Music City’s melting pot of sonic inspirations will mark their forthcoming album with a hometown show at the venue. Sony Music Nashville Signs New Country Duo: The Sisterhood

Just prior to the start of their performance at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville Saturday evening, country duo The Sisterhood signed a long-term recording agreement with Sony Music Nashville.

Alyssa Bonagura and Ruby Stewart make up the country duo, and both have a compelling musical heritage. Alyssa is daughter of Kathie Baillie and Michael Bonagura, the core of the country band Baillie & The Boys, and Ruby’s father is rock icon Rod Stewart.

With the 3rd & Lindsley crowd as witnesses, Sony Music Nashville Chairman & CEO Randy Goodman welcomed The Sisterhood to the stage where they each signed the contract followed by Goodman introducing them as “Sony Music Nashville’s newest additions to our roster – The Sisterhood.” The duo, who returned the day before from opening Rod Stewart’s 10-city stadium tour in the U.K., performed an hour-long set featuring their country rock melodies and soaring rich harmonies.

The evening was a double celebration for Ruby Stewart as it was also her birthday. Adding to the spirit of the occasion, Ruby’s father sent a bagpipe player. Get a glimpse of the festive evening HERE.
