Michael Ray Impacts Country Radio with Most Added Single “Get To You”

It’s been two years since rising country singer/songwriter Michael Ray has released new music. But with his new single “Get To You,” the wait was well worth it! “Get To You” is a powerful ballad about a woman who keeps running away, afraid to take a risk.

“I think everyone has been in a relationship that, at some point, causes them to question their ability to love full-heartedly,” said Michael. “This song is about tearing down those walls to help someone unconditionally love again, even if it is with someone else.”

Rolling Stone called the song “wistful” and notes Michael’s vocal range. Written by Abe Stoklasa and Pavel Dovgalyuk, “Get to You” is “an emotional ballad with powerful lyrics and a catchy chorus made even stronger by polished instrumentation and Ray’s stellar vocals” says The Boot. Sounds Like Nashville adds, “It’s a new side to the singer vocally, showcasing his beautiful falsetto on the chorus…” noting Michael shows growth and diversity with the song.

The most added new song at Country radio this week, “Get To You,” is also impacting fans in a big way with more than 300,000 on-demand streams per week and three consecutive weeks of double-digit growth in Shazam tags.

“Get To You” is the first single from Michael’s forthcoming sophomore album. His self-titled debut album yielded two No. 1 songs, including the record’s first single “Kiss You In The Morning” and his most recent, “Think A Little Less,” which was also the name of his recent headlining tour. He will play a show this afternoon at First Tennessee Park at 4:00 p.m. as part of a special CMT Hot 20 Countdown taping, to air August 5 and 6, before taking the Grand Ole Opry stage later tonight.

Stay tuned for soon to be released details on his new headlining “Get To You Tour”! For more information, visit michaelraymusic.com

Morgan Evans Makes U.S. Debut with New Single “Kiss Somebody”

One of the newest members to the Warner Music Nashville/Warner Bros. Records family, Morgan Evans, has released his very first U.S. single “Kiss Somebody” to all digital music platforms. The coolly melodic, relentlessly hopeful and wholly irresistible track was co-written by Evans along with Chris DeStefano (“That’s My Kind Of Night”) and Josh Osborne (“Body Like A Back Road”).

“I’m equal parts excited, nervous and proud to have this one out in the world today,” said Evans. “Feels like the start of a new chapter for me and one I’m stoked to be entering. Hopefully people will turn it up, love it and maybe even kiss somebody too!”

Just two years ago, the singer/songwriter/musician moved halfway across the world in order to chase his dream of becoming a country artist in Nashville. Citing Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Led Zeppelin and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band as his formative influences, Evans has been crafting his sound since the age of 13.

His raw talent and undeniable on-stage charisma earned him spots early in his career touring with artists such as Alan Jackson and Taylor Swift while still in Australia. Now having signed with Warner Music Nashville/Warner Bros. Records, Evans is bringing his engaging live show all over the world, including a recent visit to the UK with stops in Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol and London. Built around a loop pedal, which he demonstrates flawlessly in his recent #MEMashup series, the setup allows him to play solo with the presence and energy of a full band.

Evans is currently in the studio working on his forthcoming album with DeStefano (Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan) and on the road for select dates with Josh Turner, Lee Brice and major fairs and festivals throughout the summer.

Kip Moore Reveals Album Cover for Third Studio Album “SLOWHEART”

Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore revealed the cover for his upcoming third studio album SLOWHEART, available Sept. 8.  Moore, who was inspired to name the release after his fiercely loyal fans who have adopted the name SLOWHEART themselves and who “defines himself by his honesty, which feeds directly into his music, which earned him a fan base of die-hards and helped make him a breakout star in Nashville,” (Washington Post) gave fans the opportunity to view and share the album cover first via social media.

The cover image, taken in Costa Rica during Kip’s extended break earlier this year, speaks to the personal nature of the collection which Rolling Stone praises for its “gut-punch of a vintage album, the vocals out front and clear as crystal.”

“My former guitar player called me a ‘slowheart’ many years ago, claiming I don’t just jump the gun and show all my cards or my emotions on what I truly feel,” said Moore. “He always said ‘you’re a slowheart, man…you observe before you act.’ I eventually named the band the slowhearts, and my fans are the slowhearts too. And so, its only fitting that the record I’ve been waiting to make, was named SLOWHEART.”

Co-written by Moore, his current Top 15 single and the lead track “More Girls Like You,” is the fastest rising single of his career so far and is receiving praise from critics such as Entertainment Weekly declaring he “has made a name for himself weaving vignettes of Southern, blue-collar life and love into rollicking country anthems.” As he “consistently serves up clever roots-rock riffs and rhythms that separate Moore from the rock-meets-rap focus of his Nashville peers” (Associated Press), the release of “More Girls Like You” follows the acclaim that surrounded his sophomore album WILD ONES heralded as “an impressively singular release from Music Row” by The Guardian.

Kelsea Ballerini To Showcase “Legends” With Back to Back Performances on National TV July 25

Black River Entertainment recording artist Kelsea Ballerini is set for back-to-back TV performances of her new single “Legends” next week, as “Country’s next big thing” (Idolator) continues to bring her heart-melting hit-in-the-making to fans all across the country.

Prepping for a whirlwind day on Tuesday (7/25), Ballerini will sing her “crazy, tragic, epic” anthem of love and loss on both ABC’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA and NBC’s THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON.

Rooted in Ballerini’s own romantic life story, the powerful song – co-written by Ballerini, Hillary Lindsey and Forest Glen Whitehead (also serves as producer alongside Jason Massey) – offers the first look at her highly-anticipated second album.

Its stunning music video, directed by Jeff Venable, puts an unforgettable face to the “Legends” story, and has already gathered over half a million views on Vevo. Meanwhile, the track has begun climbing steadily at Country radio and critics (as well as fans) are officially in love.

People Magazine says the track shows Ballerini is “well on her way to becoming a Country legend,” while Perez Hilton raves that the young singer-songwriter has “filled the void Taylor Swift left behind when she transitioned from Country over to Pop.” Country Common says “Legends” is “the next chapter in this legendary young artist’s career,” as LA Music Blog predicts the song is “bound to become one of this summer’s Country radio hits,” and Taste of Country gushes about its emotional weight, saying “the song hurts, even as you’re smiling.”

More details about Ballerini’s upcoming second album are coming soon. It will follow the unprecedented success of her debut album, THE FIRST TIME, which landed inside the Top 5 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart and spawned three consecutive PLATINUM and GOLD #1 singles with “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs,” and “Peter Pan” – marking the only time in Country history a female artist has hit #1 with her first three singles. Her fourth release from THE FIRST TIME – the fun and flirty, GOLD-certified “Yeah Boy” – rose to the lofty height of #3 on the Country radio airplay charts.

Ballerini is currently bringing those record-breaking hits and “Legends” to fans all over the world, as she crisscrosses the country this summer on Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR and visits fans in the U.K., Ireland, and Europe in October.
