Jordan Davis To Release Debut Album ‘Home State’ March 23

MCA Nashville’s promising new artist Jordan Davis announces his debut album HOME STATE will be released March 23. HOME STATE includes the singer/songwriter’s infectious current Top 20 single “Singles You Up” in addition to the previously-released tracks “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” and “Take It From Me.” Known for his unique songwriting talent, Jordan co-wrote every track on HOME STATE and teamed up producer Paul DiGiovanni for the entire 12-song collection.

“Making this record has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done,” says Jordan. “I want to thank everyone who was involved in bringing this to life, especially to my producer Paul Digiovanni and the songwriters that helped me create these songs. I can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Rolling Stone Country recently premiered the official music video for “Singles You Up” which can be viewed HERE.

Jordan Davis continues to draw critical acclaim with Rolling Stone commending Jordan for “melding the song craft of artists like John Prine and Jim Croce with the genre’s pop progressiveness.” The Tennessean notes, “in the vein of Sam Hunt, Davis pairs syncopated melodies and ultra-progressive production with smooth vocals and contemporary vernacular.”

Keith Urban Announces New Album, GRAFFITI U, and World Tour

At an unannounced pop-up show last night at Nashville’s Exit/In, GRAMMY Award winner Keith Urban enlisted his fans to officially announce his “GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR 2018,” and also took the opportunity to reveal that his forthcoming album will be called GRAFFITI U.  During a 2-hour surprise show, in front of a crowd of 350 lucky fans that poured out onto the streets, Urban also took time to introduce and perform with GRAMMY nominee Kelsea Ballerini, who will accompany Urban on the North American leg, as his supporting act.

It was Urban’s fans who took center stage for the tour announcement – a live streamed event that saw them during the feed, in cities across the country announcing the “GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR 2018” on white poster boards –  http://smarturl.it/KU-FanVideo.

“I’ve been full-on writing, recording, collaborating and creating with some incredibly talented people for GRAFFITI U, a lot of whom I’ve never worked with before,” said Urban.  “I can hear how some of the songs will translate live already, which really makes putting on a new show so exhilarating and I loved having our fans included in the announcement of the tour because it’s their tour too.”

The 58-city tour will kick off on June 15th at St. Louis’s Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre and will include 10 shows in Canada (supporting act TBA) as well as visits to cities in Nevada, Oregon, Alabama and Arkansas that Urban has yet to headline.  Urban’s shows have become concert events that electrify.  They’re unexpected, if not unpredictable, and have been hailed by media around the world as a “concert experience not to be missed.” The tour will feature many of Urban’s 23 #1 songs, as well as brand new songs that have never been performed live and an all-new concert production that promises to be as spectacular as never before.

“I remember hearing Keith Urban songs that stopped me in my tracks and made me want to drop everything and chase that kind of lyric and heart filled artistry,” says Ballerini. “He’s the best in the business and I can’t wait to fangirl and learn from him this year. Truly an honor to tour with him.”

Dan + Shay Sends New Single “Tequila” To Country Radio

Breakout country duo Dan + Shay (Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney) released their brand new single “Tequila” just over six days ago and it’s a shot that has taken them to the top. The song ascended immediately to No. 1 on the iTunes U.S. Country Singles chart and remains Top 10 All-Genre, hitting as high as No. 5 over the weekend.

It debuted at No. 15 on the Shazam country charts and snagged a spot in the all-genre Top 200.  In less than a week, “Tequila” has sold nearly 20,000 tracks in the U.S. alone and boasts over 1 million on-demand streams, topping Spotify’s Hot Country playlist, before officially hitting radio airwaves.

“The response to ‘Tequila’ has been absolutely incredible,” said Smyers. “We knew the song was special, but to see it have such an impact, this early on, has been so exciting to watch. We easily have the best fans on the planet! Cheers to more ‘Tequila!’”

In addition to its success in the United States, “Tequila” has quickly begun spilling into countries across the globe. The reflective single hit No. 1 on the iTunes country charts in the U.K. and Ireland, also reaching No. 4 in Australia. Press outlets worldwide have highlighted the track, including the U.K.’s Entertainment Focus, who described the song as “an emotional ballad” with a “fresh spin.” Taste of Country applauded the “mid-tempo, polished, pop-country heartbreaker” for its “strong sense of melody and even stronger vocals,” while Rolling Stone described it as “a nostalgic tale of heartbreak and regret, lamenting the potency of that particular potable when it comes to conjuring romantic memories.”

Dan + Shay have shared the song with fans both old and new: on Friday, Alexa users who asked their device to play Amazon’s featured “Song of the Day” were treated to “Tequila.” The duo then took the single and more to Pittsburgh for a halftime performance at the Steelers vs. Jaguars playoff game on Sunday (photos here).

The Platinum-selling, chart-topping pair released “Tequila” on the heels of an incredible year of achievements. 2017 saw Dan + Shay earn more than 230 million streams, sell out shows in four international territories and earn a half-dozen award nominations amongst personal celebrations and milestones. The first new country duo in SoundScan recorded history to debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart, they recently earned their first RIAA Gold album certification for Where It All Began. Their sophomore release Obsessed produced two No. 1 smash hit singles, Platinum-certified “From The Ground Up” and Gold-certified “How Not To.”

Dan + Shay are currently in the studio working on their highly-anticipated third studio album, expected for release later this year. Fans can catch the duo live this summer as they join Rascal Flatts on their BACK TO US Tour.

With dozens of No. one hits between them the tour offers a playlist-worthy night for fans which will also include spontaneous collaborations throughout the evening. Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 26 for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket at www.Megaticket.com and additional dates will continue to rollout over the coming weeks. “Reuniting this summer and heading back out on the road with my friends Lady Antebellum feels like a home away from home,” said Rucker. “It’s going to be an incredible summer, and I can’t wait to see y’all out there!”
