Jason Aldean’s 3rd “Concert For The Kids” Raises Over $620K

This year’s three-time CMA nominee Jason Aldean returned to his hometown of Macon, GA last week for his third Concert For The Kids charity event at the Macon Coliseum which raised over $620,000 for Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health. Aldean has now raised nearly $2 million for the region’s only dedicated pediatric facility, serving central and south Georgia that enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education.

Continuing the momentum, the three-time and reigning ACM “Entertainer of the Year” headed back to Nashville to host another capacity crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for his full-throttle HIGH NOON NEON TOUR.

“There is nothing better than coming back to your hometown for a great cause and Georgia really showed up last night,” said Aldean. “Thanks to Lauren Alaina for helping set the tone and with the community’s support over the last few years we’ve been able to help build an entire new facility for these kids who really need it the most.”

Brett Young Set Release Sophomore Album, TICKET TO L.A., December 7

Multi-PLATINUM-selling Country star Brett Young is on the next leg of his hit-making journey with TICKET TO L.A. His highly-anticipated second album is scheduled for takeoff December 7 on BMLG Records and builds on one of the most successful new artist debuts in recent history.

Fans can pre-order the album now on BrettYoungMusic.com, where a limited number of destination bundles are available that also include either a California or Tennessee scented travel candle, enamel pin set, hand-numbered poster, plus a signed CD booklet.

“It’s been four-and-a-half years that I’ve been in Nashville,” says the chart-topping Southern California native. “A lot has happened, the first record has been really good to me and I’m really, really proud of it. But just having a new batch of songs – it’s like breathing new life almost.”

After four straight PLATINUM-certified No. One singles, one 3X Platinum smash and an ACM win for New Male Vocalist of the Year, that “new life” will be easy to hear. Young worked once again with producer Dann Huff, executive producer Jimmy Harnen and engineer/mixer Justin Niebank on TICKET TO L.A., but was determined not to rest on his laurels. Mixing classic SoCal charisma with Music City soul, the tempos are quicker – while the heart behind each track remains front and center. The sonics are more vibrant – still sophisticated but emboldened with a pinch of playfulness. And the themes have shifted toward cool-and-collected romance.

Young admits that fans will have a lot to explore, but stresses his new approach is an evolution, not a reinvention. He once again digs deep into his personal life for inspiration, which now includes a wedding engagement and a long list of career milestones. He revisits the sensitive crooner evident on his previous No. 1s (PLATINUM “Sleep Without You,” 3X PLATINUM “In Case You Didn’t Know,” PLATINUM “Like I Loved You,” and PLATINUM “Mercy”) – but is also living in the moment on flirtatious new tracks such as “Catch” and “Change Your Name.”

“I decided to name the album TICKET TO L.A. because flying home to Los Angeles has become such a big part of my life,” Young explains. “A lot of the first record reflected a kind of hard point in my life when I was moving from Los Angeles to Nashville, but I’m in a completely different place now. I’m so happy, and I think you can really hear that shift on the new record.”

Young trades vocally stunning lines about life’s ups and downs with Pop icon Gavin DeGraw on “Chapters” while expressing personal sentiments co-writing 10 of the album’s tracks alongside Shane McAnally, Hillary Lindsey, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and more. Broadening his choice of topics to paint clever character studies as reflected in the title track, the new music is filled with a swaggering confidence that suggests Young is finally at ease with himself as a country artist. TICKET TO L.A. reveals a man of two different worlds, exploring a true depiction of Young.

Chris Janson’s Powerful Single “Drunk Girl” Climbs Into The Top 10 at Country Radio

CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Chris Janson climbs into the Top 10 at country radio this week with his powerful single, “Drunk Girl,”which The Tennessean once called “a shoo-in for a song of the year nomination” – a prediction that has now come true. The “heart-piercing ballad” (People), which is matching its radio rise with nearly 50 million on-demand streams, has also earned a nod for Music Video of the Year.

Janson took time out of his busy touring schedule to stop by his record label, Warner Music Nashville, to thank them for their enthusiasm and support. He told the WMN staff, “I just wanted to tell y’all that being an artist on this record label is truly a blessing. Thank you for believing in me and ‘Drunk Girl.’ This song carries such a heavy weight that I didn’t quite know it was going to carry, and I feel like we’ve done this together. The song and video are changing lives, starting with mine. It has humbled me so much. You never know how a song is going to touch people and it has surpassed more than I could have ever imagined.”

Adds Warner Music Nashville SVP A&R Cris Lacy, “From Loretta Lynn’s ‘The Pill’ to Merle Haggard’s ‘Okie From Muskogee’ and everything in between – real country music has always been a sanctum for stories that need to be told, lessons that need to be taught, and views that are at times controversial. The attention that Chris Janson’s song “Drunk Girl” is getting is proof this isn’t just the history of this format, it’s the future as well.”

In addition, Janson has teamed up with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s to promote the outdoor lifestyle that has been an important part of his life since childhood. Regarding this partnership, Janson says, “Teaming up with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s could not be more perfect. I’m an avid outdoorsman and I love taking my son hunting and fishing.”

Jason Aldean Sends New Single “Girl Like You” To Country Radio

Following his 21st career No. One and multi-week chart topper “Drowns the Whiskey” featuring Miranda Lambert, this year’s three-time CMA nominee Jason Aldean releases his follow-up single to Country radio today with “Girl Like You.”

Serving as the third release from his record-breaking eighth studio album REARVIEW TOWN, Aldean continues the momentum behind the multi-week chart topper and RIAA’s only PLATINUM Country song released in 2018, “You Make It Easy,” as he blends together sensual rhythms with powerful vocals.

“Our fans have always been along for the ride when we mess around with different sounds,” said Aldean. “I’ve always loved big guitars and a good groove, but we’ve never really done it like this before. So, it’s cool that we can do that coming off something like ‘Easy’ and ‘Whiskey.’”

Written by Jaron Boyer, Josh Mirenda and Michael Tyler, “Girl Like You” details a new-found infatuation and addiction with a girl unlike any other. “The blustery production matches Aldean’s angst-filled vocal delivery” (Rolling Stone) that he is known for as it’s already been dubbed a “thrilling live song” (Taste Of Country).
