Dustin Lynch Scores No.1 Single with “Good Girl”

Dustin Lynch got himself a #1, this time as both an artist and a songwriter. With mixing “a shot of R&B into his country tonic” (Taste of Country), the PLATINUM-certified hitmaker’s “Good Girl” tops both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay charts this week. Finding “an unmistakable sound to call his own,” he co-wrote the surprise summertime anthem alongside Justin Ebach and Andy Albert that left fans and critics wanting more (Taste of Country).

“I’ve never started the year with a #1 song, and I’ve got to say, this feels really good,” Lynch remarked. “I moved to town with the dream of writing songs and singing on stage, and finally the stars aligned, and everything worked out. I’ve learned the lesson of perseverance, of hard work and continuing to hone your craft.”

Following the success of his third studio album CURRENT MOOD (Broken Bow Records), “Good Girl” delivers Lynch’s SIXTH #1 as an artist with 47 MILLION total streams and garnering over 455,000 in consumption. The hit is a landmark achievement unique to his previous chart success, marking his first #1 as a songwriter, something Lynch has waited for since the beginning of his career and finds “very very special. As a songwriter, getting a #1 is life-changing.”

Lynch’s previous #1 hits include PLATINUM-certified “Small Town Boy” and “Where It’s At,” and GOLD-certified chart-toppers “Hell of a Night,” “Mind Reader,” and “Seein’ Red,” tallying an impressive 5 consecutive #1 singles between 2014-2017. His signature Tennessee sound has “steadily built one of the most consistent careers in modern country music” (Billboard).

In 2018, Lynch was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry by iconic entertainer Reba McEntire. He presented the awards for Single Record of the Year and Single of the Year at the 53rd ACM Awards and the 52nd CMA Awards, and wrapped 2018 with the REASON TO DRINK…ANOTHER TOUR, packing out venues nationwide with Cole Swindell and special guest Lauren Alaina.

This year, Lynch will make his UK debut at C2C in March, and will join the Canadian leg of Thomas Rhett’s LIFE CHANGES TOUR starting in April and North American VERY HOT SUMMER TOUR starting in May as direct support, but that’s just the beginning for this “Country music star” (AXS).

“Hopefully as a songwriter this is the start,” said Lynch. “With new music on the way, I can guarantee there will be more right around the corner.”

Chase Rice Add 21 Additional Dates To His “Eyes On You Tour”

Platinum-certified entertainer Chase Rice continues his run of headlining success as he continues the coast-to-coast Eyes On You Tour into 2019, announcing 21 additional dates across the U.S. and Canada.

The second leg begins Friday, February 22 in St. Louis, Missouri and continues through Saturday, May 11 in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, following Rice’s string of sell-outs on the first leg of the Eyes On You Tour as well as six shows as direct support on Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour 2018.

The Tennessean highlights his “national fan base, thanks to a ferocious touring schedule” while Taste of Country proclaims that “the unapologetic rock and R&B influenced showstoppers make his live show an event to catch.” AXS.com agrees, remarking that “Rice commands a performance with such force and zeal, that he will have you hooked from the time you walk in the doors to the time you leave.”

“Having a song like ‘Eyes On You’ connect at this level has taken our live show to another level,” shares Rice. “Every night I have to take a minute and film them singing the words back to us on stage.”

The tour takes its name from Rice’s current single “Eyes On You,” praised by Billboard as “the latest sign for Rice that things are working” and Wide Open Country as “the tune that elevates him to the next level… the type of song that could become a singalong staple of Rice’s live show for decades.” The song that became a fan-favorite at live shows and on streaming platforms before even being announced as a single is now Top 30 and climbing at Country radio.

Tim McGraw Showcases Love and Friendship with “Thought About You” Lyric Video

Grammy Award winning superstar Tim McGraw released the lyric video for “Thought About You” via Columbia Nashville/McGraw Music. Directed by JP Robinson, the video brings the song to life by showcasing stories of love and friendship through a series of photographs – reminiscing on loved ones from the past and present who impact our lives.

Released last October, “Thought About You” marked McGraw’s first new solo music in over two years and comes ahead of his forthcoming solo album set for release this year.

“The cool thing about Thought About You is that it brings something, or someone, different to mind for everyone who hears it. It might be a loved one you saw yesterday, an old friend you haven’t spoken to in years or someone you know you’ll never see again. For the lyric video, we worked with art director JP Robinson who helped us find stories of friendship, love and loss that we could follow over time. There are some really special stories in those photos,” said McGraw.

McGraw most recently released “Thought About You” alongside the lead radio single “NEON CHURCH.” “Thought About You” was written by Lee Thomas Miller, Brad Warren and Brett Warren and was produced by long-time collaborator Byron Gallimore.

Both tracks are available to stream and download now via Columbia Nashville/McGraw Music.

Cody Johnson Partners with Resistol For Signature Hat Line

Resistol and up and coming country star Cody Johnson are proud to announce the launch of Cody Johnson hat line. A cowboy to his core, Johnson wears his buckle and his hat with pride.

Johnson earned the buckle during his days as a bull rider on the rodeo circuit, with the broken bones and the stories to prove it. From humble beginnings as a former prison guard on horseback, Johnson has risen to dizzying heights securing a co-venture with Warner Music Group Nashville and selling out Rodeo Houston where a sea of 75,000 adoring fans sporting cowboy hats sang his songs back to him in chorus. Johnson closed out the magical night in style by riding out of NRG stadium on horseback wearing his iconic RESISTOL cowboy hat.

Years ago in a meeting Johnson was asked why he wore the hat. His answer was simple and swift; “it’s who I am.” Johnson applies that authentic approach to everything he does, from bull riding to recording records. With powerful vocals, electrifying shows and cowboy swagger, Cody has won the hearts of a loyal base of followers dubbed CoJo Nation.

Resistol is proud to launch the new line of Cody Johnson by Resistol hats featuring Cody’s signature style and colors. The line was revealed at the Denver Western and English apparel market (WESA) in January 2019 to potential retailers. The beautiful line of cowboy hats targeted towards Cody Johnson’s fans is offered in Cody’s own selection of colors and trim, and initially available in 15X, 6X, and 3X qualities of fur felt, as well as vented straw styles.

Ricky Bolin, general manager of Resistol, says “The partnership is a natural fit. Cody wears Resistol hats and has all the characteristics that our brand represents. He has a great hat style and crease and that represents the cowboy so well. We are happy for his success and are glad he has worn Resistol on his journey.”

Cody Johnson says “This is an honor to have my own hat line. I have worn a hat my whole life and I love the quality of Resistol hats and everything they stand for. There is no other brand of hats I would rather wear. I am excited to be able to offer these to my fans.”

The straw hats will be available in stores and online in early March and the felt styles mid- summer.
