The talented artist will also be headlining a show in his hometown of Nashville at the Exit/In on September 5. Tickets are available here.

We caught up with the artist on the rise to chat about his new track, “Drop of Us,” as well as the incredible year he has been experiencing. See below our exclusive interview with Levi Hummon.

Country Music Rocks (CMR): You recently released your brand new single, “Drop Of Us.” Give us a little insight and tell us about this brand new track.

Levi Hummon: We found out we were going on tour with Hunter Hayes this past November and I knew I needed some feel good uptempo songs in the set. I got with my writing buddies and just started working. “Drop Of Us” felt special in the writing room and I knew my fans would love it. It was an every night highlight on the tour and then fans started requesting it to be released.

CMR: You also released a new EP last fall, entitled PATIENT. Tell us about the inspiration behind this collection of music?

Levi Hummon: I just felt like I needed to begin carving out my lane as an artist and songwriter. I know deep down I have a really specific vision for the music and the vibe, but I believe the “Patient” EP is a really great foundation sonically of who I am right now. The funny thing about “Patient” as a title is that I’m the least patient person ever, so I’m really happy it’s out.

CMR: You’ve been playing some really huge festivals this summer. What are some of your favorite things to take away from a music festival?

Levi Hummon: I love just seeing fans sing along and watching how the music, the audience, and the live show is all growing show by show.

CMR: With 2019 already past its halfway point, what has been one of your most memorable moments so far this year?

Levi Hummon: Man o’ man. SO MANY. The entire Hunter Hayes Tour was unreal, but our show at Lakeshake in Chicago took home the win. It was an amazing experience. Having the opportunity to open for Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, and Lady A is also incredible; they are all my favorites and truly amazing acts.

CMR: Earlier this year, you joined Hunter Hayes on tour, what is one thing that you took away from your time on tour with him?

Levi Hummon: He’s such an amazing live performer. Just how he moves on stage is really captivating and he gives 100% at each show, and I try to do the same. By 100%, I mean he’s like totally giving himself; it’s really a legitimate workout!

CMR: Music, especially country music, leaves such a strong impact on our lives. What is a song that has made an impact on you, and whenever it comes on, it still resonates with you?

Levi Hummon: Hmm… recently I’ve been really moved by a throwback, “Live Like You Were Dying.” Wow.

Pick up Hummon’s latest track “Drop Of Us” and add it to your playlist. Be sure to keep up with Levi Hummon by visiting his Official Website, and follow him on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Drake White Shares Health Update

Drake White has unveiled some concerning news regarding his health. Last week, while performing on stage in Roanoke, VA, the singer songwriter began to stumble and nearly collapsed.  After being rushed off the stage, worry and concern began to circulate.

Earlier this year, the 35 year old singer/songwriter was diagnosed with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). AVM is an abnormal tangle of arteries and veins in the brain that disrupts normal blood flow. He is now sharing this news with the country music community.

“It was basically stealing blood from my brain,” White told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “The neurologist told me that I should be thankful it was caught in time, because it could have caused a stroke.”

Since the diagnosis, White has been going through a series of embolization procedures. He is now taking the time to focus on his health and family.

“I’m not telling this story for me,” White told PEOPLE. “Someone needs to hear it and God wants me to share it. It will help people believe in miracles, and I will feel that energy. The world needs that kind of energy right now.”

For more details, see Drake’s exclusive interview with PEOPLE by clicking HERE.

Thoughts, prayers and strength go out to Drake White and his family.

Carrie Underwood To Open Sunday Night Football For Seventh Year and Welcomes Joan Jett To Join

NBC’s Sunday Night Football, primetime television’s No. 1 program for an unprecedented eight consecutive years, will unveil an all-new show open with Carrie Underwood this season, with a nod to the first-ever NBC SNF open in 2006 featuring a new rendition of the original “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” music.

Underwood, the seven-time Grammy Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist, stars in the NBC SNF show open for the seventh consecutive year and welcomes Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Joan Jett, who makes an appearance during Underwood’s performance.

At the invitation of Underwood, Jett – whose 1988 Top 10 hit “I Hate Myself for Loving You” was adapted for the original “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” SNF show open music in 2006 – appears for the first time in the NBC Sunday Night Football show open. Underwood will also be joined by NFL stars (to be announced on Monday) in the new show open.

“I have always been a huge fan of Joan’s, and I’m thrilled that she’s joining us for the Sunday Night Football open,” Underwood said. “What better way to pay homage to the original SNF opening song than by getting to play with her on primetime’s biggest stage?”

“When Carrie brought us this idea, we immediately embraced it as a terrific way to evolve the performance, while also celebrating the song we used in our first 10 seasons of SNF,” said Fred Gaudelli, Executive Producer of NBC’s Sunday Night Football. “We were excited when Joan agreed to join us, and we can’t wait to debut the finished product.”

At halftime of this Sunday night’s preseason game on NBC (Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans, 8 p.m. ET), a sneak preview of the SNF show open will air. The full 2019 NBC Sunday Night Football show open will debut on Sunday, Sept. 8, as the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

For the first time in the series’ 14 seasons, the SNF show open was filmed inside an NFL stadium, with Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of the Atlanta Falcons, serving as the “stage.”

Pepsi is the sponsor of the SNF open and will be integrated on-air each week.
