Jerrod Niemann Signs With Curb Records

Curb Records is proud to announce the signing of Jerrod Niemann to the artist roster. Known for chart-topping hits such as “Lover, Lover” and “Drink To That All Night,” the signing combines two of Country Music’s most well-known brands.

“One thing that Nashville has always been proud of is its heritage and I’m lucky enough to be a part of the most historic independent record label in the music industry and wear my Curb jersey proud,” the singer said in a statement.

A Kansas native, Niemann first made a name for himself as a songwriter, with several cuts from the iconic Garth Brooks, including the 2005 hit “Good Ride Cowboy.” His prowess as a tunesmith led to the chance to make music of his own, and he definitely made the most of that opportunity. His breakout single – 2010’s “Lover, Lover,” became one of the most-played songs of the year, topping the singles chart while on the way to being certified Platinum. His follow-up, “What Do You Want,” also hit the top ten and was certified Gold. Other hits in the Niemann catalog include radio staples such as “One More Drinkin’ Song” and “Drink To That All Night,” which became one of the most-played songs of 2013. The singer has been on the road this year with his new labelmate at Curb, Lee Brice.

Just as Niemann is excited about his recording future with Curb, the label is likewise enthusiastic. Jim Ed Norman, CEO of The Curb Group says “We’re delighted and privileged that Jerrod is joining the Curb Records Family. His longstanding association and friendship with others at the label, both artists and executives alike, further enhances that spirit of family, camaraderie and teamwork, which are the attributes of any successful company and the characteristics to which we aspire each and every day.” Already well at work on new music, a single release from Niemann’s debut project for Curb Records will be issued this spring.

Chris Stapleton Returns Home With RAM Trucks and ACM Lifting Lives For Hometown Concert

Chris Stapleton and Ram Trucks, in conjunction with ACM  Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music, announced a partnership that will see the two-time Grammy Award winner return to Johnson Central High School, his alma mater, located in Stapleton’s hometown of Paintsville, Kentucky.

During the visit, Ram Nation volunteers (a grassroots team of Ram truck owners) and students from the Johnson Central High School carpentry program will dedicate an outdoor performance space, The Golden Eagle Stage Powered By RAM Trucks, for the school’s use. It will be located on the grounds of Johnson Central High School, and was constructed by JCHS carpentry students in conjunction with Ram Nation volunteers.

In addition, Stapleton will perform a closed afternoon concert for students, educators and administrators at the Johnson Central High School Gymnasium. Later that evening, Stapleton will return to the same stage for his sold-out ‘Ram Trucks Hometown Concert’ for the Paintsville community.

“While the story of Chris Stapleton may not be widely known, it’s one of pride, dedication and perseverance, all values important to our Ram truck owners,” said Marissa Hunter, Director of Brand Advertising, FCA US. “It’s a great opportunity and honor for us to go back to Paintsville with Chris to document his return to the place that built his character and work-ethic. Ram will be creating videos from this experience to show millions of people the very special town and moments that made Chris the man he is today.”

Beachbody To Launch Country Dance Inspired Workout “Country Heat”

Beachbody, the leading provider of in-home and gym-based fitness programs, announced the launch of Country Heat, a country dance-inspired workout available nationwide this summer.

The company’s first foray into the country music genre, this new fitness program was created by Super Trainer and 21 Day Fix® creator Autumn Calabrese, and features routines so simple anyone can do them, and so fun everyone will want to.

Choreographed to some of the most recent contemporary country music hits, Country Heat includes six 30-minute calorie-busting cardio routines. Songs like “Kick the Dust Up,” “Crash and Burn” and “All About Tonight” get you moving in these high-energy, low-impact workouts while you learn simple moves that tone and tighten the body without weights or equipment.

Country Heat was inspired by my passion for country music and my love of both fitness and dance,” Calabrese said. “I created this program for people who have been looking for a fun and easy alternative to fitness and I’m confident people will quickly see just how effective it is to work out while having fun!”

In addition to the workouts, a bonus line dance will be included featuring a new song from award-winning country artist Jo Dee Messina. “Night Crawl” was written exclusively for Country Heat and don’t be surprised to see this line dance filling the dance floors of honky tonks throughout the country this summer!

“For years we’ve been looking to create a simple approach to fitness that was accessible to everyone and that people would love to do,” said Carl Daikeler, CEO of Beachbody. “We are committed to helping people achieve their weight-loss goals and with the incredible popularity of country music, we believe Country Heat is going to reach millions of people who have been frustrated or bored with more traditional or extreme workouts. Country Heat is just plain fun!”

The Country Heat program will be released July 28th, 2016, and includes five dance workouts plus one full-body dance-conditioning workout, a quick-start guide, a 30-day program calendar, Autumn’s patented portion-control containers and nutrition program, plus the bonus line dance— all for only $59.85.
