Easton Corbin’s “Are You With Me” Impacts Country Radio

Easton Corbin’s new single “Are You With Me,” from his No. 1 selling album About To Get Real, will go for official radio adds on Monday, May 23rd. “Are You With Me” is the follow-up to “Yup” and  his Top 5 hit “Baby Be My Love Song.” The single is already making an impact on the digital tracks chart as “Are You With Me” has increased in sales for four consecutive weeks, up 985% during that time.

Billboard
talked to Corbin about “Are You With Me” in this week’s “Makin’ Tracks.” Click HERE.

“Are You With Me,” written by Tommy Lee James, Terry McBride and Shane McAnally, first appeared on Corbin’s second studio album All Over The Road but was never released as a radio single. “‘Are You With Me’ is a really special song on my last record, All Over the Road. It means so much to me that we just had to include it on About to Get Real,” says Corbin. “It’s one of those songs that deserves to be a single and we are so excited it is finally getting that chance.”

“Are You With Me” has a unique history since it appeared on Corbin’s All Over The Road album in 2012. In 2015, Belgian DJ and record producer Los Frequencies found the song and remixed it as an electronic dance song and it went on to become a worldwide hit –  reaching No. 1 on the charts in not only Belgium but also topped the charts in Germany, Ireland, Israel, Greece, Switzerland, Australia and Austria and was a Top 5 hit in Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Netherlands among others.

About To Get Real, produced by Carson Chamberlain, features 12 tracks including three co-written by Corbin. About To Get Real is the follow-up to Easton’s first two successful albums which included the No. 1 hits “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It” as well as the Top 5 hits “Lovin’ You Is Fun” and “All Over The Road.”

Gary Allan To Launch New Single “Do You Wish It Was Me?”

This morning, EMI Nashville Recording artist Gary Allan announces the release of his latest single “Do You Wish It Was Me?”  The song ships to radio this morning, and will go for adds on June 13, with a digital on-sale date of June 10.

Co-written by Allan, Jonathan Singleton and Andrew Dorff, the sexy new song was co-produced by Allan along with Greg Droman.  Allan’s longtime touring band can be heard on the single helping to capture the firey energy of Allan’s live performances in the studio.

Gary played the song for his label team last week at a private gathering, where he was presented with a GOLD plaque for his most recent studio album SET YOU FREE.  Allan was surprised when UMG Nashville President & CEO Mike Dungan presented him with a plaque studded with platinum after platinum album, celebrating his incredible 20 year career.  With sales of over 7 Million albums, 8 Million tracks, 250 Million Streams, 5 #1 chart topping singles and 14 top ten hits, the team has much to celebrate.

Allan was appreciative of the obvious enthusiasm the label has for the single and collection of songs on the new album.  “Looking at this plaque and thinking back on the past twenty years makes me grateful for the great team of people I have around me.  There have been people who have come and gone from Universal, but this is still my home and they are all my label family,” said Allan.  “I am excited about getting ‘Do You Wish It Was Me?’ out to radio, playing it for the fans and continuing to work with Mike, Cindy and the entire EMI/UMG Nashville staff.”

Jake Owen To Release New Album, American Love, July 29

The highly anticipated new album from RCA recording artist Jake Owen entitled American Love will be released on July 29, 2016. Jake announced the release date and revealed the title and album cover for his fifth studio album via Facebook Live.

“It turns out Jake Owen enjoys singing about love on tour,” says Entertainment Weekly. “The subject is all over the album’s 11 tracks – new love, young love, breaking up, and sticking it out.”

“This record has been very enlightening because I found myself through the songs. I got back to basics with American Love,” he says of the project “This is me, this is what I want to say and this is what I want people to remember me for.”

Award-winning producers and songwriters Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman co-produced eight of the tracks (one of those with Luke Laird). For the first time in his career, Jake is a co-producer on three tracks with Lukas Bracewell. There are very special guest background vocalists on American Love, including GRAMMY, CMA & ACM winners Chris Stapleton and Hillary Lindsey.

The debut single, “American Country Love Song,” is currently No. 17 on Billboard & Country Aircheck with over 127K singles sold to date and has been streamed on Spotify nearly 6 million times. The song is emerging as this year’s summer anthem.

American Love is a new beginning for Owen. “Over the past few years I’ve experienced the unexpected,” he says. “My Dad received a cancer diagnosis and I, unfortunately, went through a divorce. People probably thought I would record songs that reflected those difficult times, but I found myself gravitating to songs that had more of a positive vibe and actually made me feel better by singing them. Music truly does seem to help the healing process.”

Jake has become a beacon of positive vibes through his uplifting lyrics and melodies, optimism, love of the beach and his youthful spontaneity.  “I can’t wait for people to hear these new tunes, “ Jake says with a giant smile. “We just added a horn section to my band out on the road and the energy I feel on stage with these guys takes it to a another level.”

Kip Moore is having a blast on the road with Miranda Lambert and her Keeper of the Flame Tour, along with Brothers Osborne. He said he’s been waiting for a long time to tour with the female vocalist.
