BBR Music Group has added two talented guys to their ever growing roster with the addition of new country duo, Walker McGuire. Comprised of Jordan Walker and Johnny McGuire, the singer/songwriters have signed on with BBR’s Wheelhouse Records imprint.
“We’ve both been dreaming of doing this since we were kids and we are extremely grateful to Benny and the BBR Music Group team for believing in us and giving us this opportunity,” said Walker McGuire in a joint statement.
Walker McGuire is making a strong introduction to fans with new single “’Til Tomorrow.” Already the single has been streamed over 7 million times on Spotify since its debut earlier this year.
It’s been two years since Miranda Lambert last put out a studio album, but that is all about to change. On November 18, the RCA Nashville singer/songwriter will release her sixth studio album, The Weight Of These Wings. Lambert took to her social media today to announce the news.
Produced by Frank Liddell, Glenn Worf, and Eric Masse, The Weight Of These Wings will include newly released single, “Vice.”
CMT is gearing up to honor five standout artists that will be celebrated during the seventh annual CMT Artists of the Year. This year CMT will highlight and feature Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett. Each artist has made a significant impact on the genre and on CMT throughout the past year, and will be celebrated throughout the evening with special performances.
Additionally, Kelsea Ballerini will honored as the second-annual “Breakout Artist of the Year.”
Performers and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks. The special event will take place at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and air on CMT October 20 at 9pm ET/PT.
Jana Kramer brought the heat last night on the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars. Dancing the Viennese Waltz for her very first dance of the new season, Kramer and her partner Gleb Savchenko delivered the sexiest performance of the evening.
Jana and Gleb scored a 27 out of 40 last night, already putting them in the Top 5 on the leader board. While the dance was definitely on the sexy side, it was also very impressive. Kramer shows great potential and we’re looking forward to watching her grow week after week.
Jana returns to Dancing with the Stars next Monday, September 19, on ABC at 8pm with a brand new routine. Be sure to tune in and vote for country music’s sweetheart.
Kelsea Ballerini had a very special 23rd birthday this weekend as she celebrated her third No.1 hit single with “Peter Pan.” Ballerini makes country music history with this milestone as she is the only female artist in country music at this time to hit #1 with three consecutive singles from a debut album.
As “Peter Pan” tops both the Country Aircheck and Billboard Country Airplay charts, the hit single also lands at the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. More history is made for Kelsea with this feat as she is the first woman to reach #1 on both Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart and Country Airplay chart simultaneously. To say its a huge week for Ballerini is an understatement.
