Thomas Rhett Notches 10th Career No. 1 Single with “Marry Me”

Consistently proving himself as a “standout” (Billboard) in Country music, Multi-PLATINUM hitmaker Thomas Rhett continues to generate back-to-back chart-toppers, notching his 10th career No. One with his latest single “Marry Me.” The stirring hit is spending its second straight week at No. One on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts, also marking its third week at No. One in Canada.

Following LIFE CHANGES’ “Craving You” and “Unforgettable” also peaking at the top chart position, “Marry Me” marks his third No. One hit in the past year, more than any other Country artist.

“It is unbelievable to me that the fans and Country radio have gotten behind me for 10 No. one’s,” said Thomas Rhett. “As an artist and songwriter, there is nothing better than knowing and feeling your music connect with people. I’m just incredibly grateful.”

Thomas Rhett was just named iHeartRadio’s Country Artist of the Year for the second year in a row, following his recent CMA Triple Play award for penning three No. 1 songs within a 12-month period (“Die A Happy Man,” “Star of the Show” and Michael Ray’s “Think A Little Less”). The reigning ACM Male Vocalist of the Year will defend his title at next month’s 2018 ceremony, where he has garnered six total nominations and will also vie for Album of the Year for LIFE CHANGES as both artist and producer, Vocal Event of the Year for “Craving You” (featuring Maren Morris) as both artist and producer and Video of the Year for “Marry Me.”

Thomas Rhett is gearing up to bring his “commanding stage presence” (Rolling Stone) to arenas across the country on his LIFE CHANGES TOUR 2018, kicking off April 5 in Tulsa, OK. For more information and for a full list of upcoming tour dates, visit www.ThomasRhett.com.

Cody Johnson Breaks Records at RodeoHouston

Currently, there is only one independent artist in the world who can safely say they’ve sold out NRG Stadium at RodeoHouston – that artist is Cody Johnson. Following his performance this past Saturday, Johnson made history as the only unsigned artist to sell out the stadium, outselling his predecessors from this year’s lineup including Little Big Town, Blake Shelton, Kelsea Ballerini, Rascal Flatts, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan and Chris Young—with the exception of Garth Brooks.

Johnson also managed to top the ticket sales of Pop superstar Alessia Cara and Grammy-nominated soul singer Leon Bridges who played the RodeoHouston stage last month.

“Houston, biggest show of my life all thanks to y’all! Can’t begin to express what it means to be the first unsigned artist in history to sell out RodeoHouston at NRG…thanks for a night I’ll never forget,” shared an emotional Johnson

Chuck Dauphin with Billboard, who was in town to cover the event, shared “hearing the name Cody Johnson and the word ‘sensation’ is one thing. Seeing it up close – and 75,000 fans singing along lyric after lyric is believing. After this weekend, I am a believer!”

Last year, Johnson made his RodeoHouston performance debut filling in at the last minute for Old Dominion. This year, he was invited back to headline his own slot alongside Garth Brooks, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, One Republic and more.

Houston Chronicle recapped the evening reaffirming that “Johnson’s second RodeoHouston performance was going to be tough to top this year” while firmly stating that Johnson “imbues his music with a blend of grit, sincerity and subtle showmanship that’s missing from most of today’s superstars.

In what has become a Johnson tradition, he left the stage in style, riding out on horseback for the second year in a row.

Johnson continues to spread his traditional yet modern brand of country music across the nation like wildfire, selling out venues coast-to-coast, even in cities he has never stepped foot in before.

Next month, Johnson will return to Los Angeles to headline a show at Belasco Theater on April 18. The venue is double the capacity of The Troubador, which Johnson sold out in just 2 weeks when he made his debut as a headliner in the market in 2017.
