Chris Janson Releases “Power Of Positive Drinkin'” Music Video

Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville recording artist Chris Janson released the music video for his latest single, “Power of Positive Drinkin’.” The video exclusively premiered across all CMT platforms, including the 24/7 digital music channel CMT Music, ChrisJanson.CMT.com and the CMT Artists mobile app, and is now available across multiple media platforms. Last year, CMT – for the first time in its history – financed and produced Janson’s debut video “Buy My a Boat.”

Directed by FlyHi Films’ Michael Monaco, the video was filmed at Janson’s sold out show at Cotton Eyed Joe in Knoxville, TN, and over several tour stops on Luke Bryan’s 2015 FARM TOUR. Heavy with live performance vignettes, the video showcases Janson’s energetic personality and dynamic stage show, which landed him a spot opening for labelmate Blake Shelton’s 2016 Tour Presented By Gildan. Adding to the realness of the video Janson’s family has featured cameos throughout.

“I’m most excited for this video because it shows a live aspect of my shows; real audience, real fans and real reactions. Also, I like to have my family in my videos and always will. My wife and kids are in it for fun. We featured baby Jesse my youngest in the video sitting on the bar, drinking his bottle – not during business hours – but, because I thought it was funny and inside the bottle was whole milk only!” laughs Janson.

“Buy Me a Boat,” the first single from Janson’s debut album of the same name, transformed Janson’s life after a decade of hard work and has made him one of 2015’s most visible new stars. Closing out 2015 with a bang, Janson landed on multiple year-end lists, including Billboard’s Top New Country Artist list (#2). His breakout PLATINUM-certified, #1 smash “Buy Me a Boat” was named one of the Best Songs of 2015 by the New York Times and is the #7 Best-Selling Country Song of the Year (SoundScan). His album made Rolling Stone Country’s Best list. Adding to the recognition, he was chosen as a 2016 Next Big Thing by MusicRow and selected to perform as part of the prestigious New Faces concert during Country Radio Seminar, held Feb. 8-10 in Nashville, TN.

With more than 115 performances at the legendary Grand Ole Opry to date, Janson was invited for the first time to join the exclusive annual Opry hunt to kick off the New Year. “They welcomed me really nicely and it was an honor to be a part of this group,” shared Janson. “The hunting was exceptional and good camaraderie and fellowship.”

Thomas Rhett Continues To Dominate the Country Radio Charts

THOMAS RHETT continues to push “the genre into exciting new territory” (Jody Rosen, New York Times) as he dominates the radio charts again this week spending a fourth consecutive week at #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his PLATINUM certified hit “Die A Happy Man.”

Off his sophomore album TANGLED UP (The Valory Music Co.), the mega-hit has already been dubbed a “strong contender for every song of the year title” (All Access) and became his fifth consecutive chart-topper proving he’s “a standout among a crowded crop of acts” (Billboard).

After recently wrapping his first headlining run with the 2015 CMT ON TOUR, Thomas Rhett will continue to confirm “he’s on his way to superstardom” (Patriot Ledger) as he will serve as direct support on Jason Aldean’s WE WERE HERE 2016 TOUR beginning this Thursday (1/14) in Moline, IL.

Old Dominion Snaps Attention of Country Radio With New Single “Snapback”

Old Dominion, the group that Billboard says is “helping to usher in a new wave of country,” new single “Snapback” hit the country radio airwaves today with a thunderous pop. 126 first week chart reporting Country radio stations across the country are now spinning the new single that is the follow-up to the band’s debut, GOLD-certified, two week No. 1 hit song, “Break Up With Him,” the first single off the band’s debut album Meat and Candy an album that NPR Fresh Air describes as “an enjoyable and a calculated album, very clever and very self-conscious.”

To put that in perspective “Break Up With Him” had 76 chart reporting Country radio stations spinning it the first week versus today’s “Snapback” count sitting at 126.

“Picking a second single was kind of nerve-wracking,” says Matthew Ramsey of Old Dominion. “We felt like ‘Snapback’ was the right choice, but it’s really just a guess. You never know what’s going to connect. The overwhelming support radio and the fans have shown for ‘Snapback’ right out of the gate is something we never saw coming. Now it really feels like we made the right choice!”

Along with the massive support Old Dominion has received from country radio, the band that Billboard states is “helping to usher in a new wave of country” continues to crisscross the continent bringing their exciting live show to their fans selling out 15 shows including dates in Chicago (Joe’s Bar), New York City (Joe’s Pub), Boston (Royale), Nashville (Marathon Music Works), Los Angeles (The Roxy), Denver (Grizzly Rose), Milwaukee (The Rave) and Minneapolis (Varsity Theater) to name a few. At the turn of the year, Old Dominion performed almost 200 shows including an 18 city stadium tour with Kenny Chesney on the Big Revival Tour. The group of hit songwriters will join Chesney again this summer on tour along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt.

Doing what Old Dominion has done in the past 12 months is nothing short of impressive. In February of 2015 the band signed to RCA Records Nashville, released their first single (“Break Up With Him”) to country radio in May, hit the road with Kenny Chesney the same month in addition to selling out their own headlining shows, released their debut album Meat and Candy in November as well as having their aforementioned debut GOLD-certified single hit No. 1 on the Country Airplay charts and holding for the top position for TWO weeks, making their National television debut in December on NBC’s Today Show to now releasing their second single “Snapback” with a massive response from radio.

“What I’ve learned in working in this business is that great things happen to great artists,” says Randy Goodman (Chairman & CEO, Sony Music Nashville). “If the artist is great at what they do, they rise, and rise fast. This has been evident with what is happening with this band. You take great songwriting, an energetic and captivating live show and combine it with five unique individuals who have a grasp of who they are and where they want to go, and you get Old Dominion. I am so excited to see what happens in the next 12 months, not to mention the many months after that.”
