The Cains Release “Knock Knock” Music Video

Sibling trio, The Cains, have released a new music video for their single, “Knock Knock,” which is now premiering on CMT platforms. The Cains are among the next group of emerging artists to be featured in CMT’s Artist Discovery campaign this February. Directed by Justin Clough, the edgy new video is now available for viewing multiple times per day on the 24/7 digital music channel CMT Music and on CMT’s website, here.

Written by Jaida Dreyer, Stephony Smith and Dave Thompson, “Knock Knock” is the latest single off the group’s self-titled EP, The Cains, that features angst-filled vocals with a country-rock twist. The track is currently playing on Country radio, and is available on iTunes, Amazon and other major digital retailers.

Of the meaning behind the new video, The Cains’ Madison Cain commented, “At first listen, ‘Knock Knock’ seems to be written from the perspective of someone who is being shut out emotionally. So we sat down together and began thinking, ‘What if the song had another meaning? Something a little below the surface?’”

Regarding the visual aspects of the video, Madison explains, “The video tells a story of being completely locked in your own mind. We perform alone in a white room wearing clothes that are dark and surreal. In some scenes, we are frozen and can’t break out. ‘Lights are on, but nobody’s home’ is what we tried to portray.”

In addition to the release of their new single and music video, the trio was featured in the “Who’s New” section of a February issue of Country Weekly, where they discuss the making of the “Knock Knock” video and open up about Taylor Cain’s recent health scare.

The Cains have also added some impressive international performances to their list of accomplishments, including performances during C2C in 2015 and opening for Sasha McVeigh’s successful I Stand Alone U.K. Tour, returning with scores of dedicated new fans anxious to hear more music. They won’t be disappointed when they get their hands on “Knock Knock.”

The two sisters and brother from Hartselle, Ala. have shared a lot over the years, but their passion for music is what has brought them together as The Cains, a Country band with unique harmonies and a variety of influences. Taylor, Madison and Logan Cain are not only singers and songwriters, but also multifaceted entertainers and musicians who play guitar, piano, bass, harmonica, mandolin, drums and more. Their original music features compelling, edgy lyrics that evoke emotion and is inspired by a vast combination of genres from Country, soul and pop to Americana, folk and contemporary Christian.

Tucker Beathard Releases Debut Single “Rock On” To Country Radio

Revered by Rolling Stone as “a singer-songwriter with attitude and hooks to burn,” Tucker Beathard‘s debut single, “Rock On,” is available at country radio today. The Big Machine Label Group artist co-wrote the “cleverly-written” (Country Weekly) song with Marla Cannon-Goodman and his father and hit songwriter Casey Beathard. With a rhythmic way of playing guitar, influenced by his innate drumming ability, Beathard played both lead guitar and drums on the track. About regretting the girl that got away, “Rock On” is taut in its delivery, with sharp turns of phrase.

“It was important to me when deciding on the first single that the song was one that I felt would show who I am as an artist, musician and songwriter,” said Beathard. “I’m a bit of an introvert, but writing songs and performing them is my way of expressing myself, and I hope it resonates with people.”

For more from Beathard about his debut single, click here.

Growing up in a family that excelled at both music and sports – his dad a songwriter; his brothers, star quarterbacks- Beathard certainly knows something about family tradition. Taking cues from dad Casey, who wrote Kenny Chesney’s “Don’t Blink” and Eric Church’s “Homeboy,” the latter inspired by his son’s rebellious phase, Beathard gave up a college baseball scholarship to dive headlong into songwriting. As a result, Beathard has an unrelenting competitive spirit: He wakes up every day trying to write the perfect song.

Critics and fans alike have been anticipating the debut single from the “much buzzed about singer/songwriter” (People), with Beathard already featured on multiple “Artists To Watch” lists including The Bobby Bones Show, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone and Taste Of Country. This year holds a stacked touring schedule for Beathard, who was recently tapped by country superstar Dierks Bentley for his summer tour, which will also include his first stint overseas in The UK and Ireland in April. He is currently working on his debut album, being overseen by producer Angelo Petraglia (Kings Of Leon).
