Dierks Bentley Shares New Music From BLACK

PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley advances the second installment of the short film series surrounding his eighth studio album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), out May 27, with the first listen of “What The Hell Did I Say” off the upcoming record.

Picking up after Episode 1’s “sultry peek behind the curtains of an affair” (Entertainment Weekly), Bentley continues the bi-weekly series with longtime director Wes Edwards as the suspense lingers surrounding secrets brought to light involving the love triangle. Today, fans can watch Episode 2 exclusively on Rolling Stone Country while iTunes mirrors the series by offering instant downloads of the new episode’s featured track.

“‘What The Hell Did I Say’ a pretty rocking song off the record that a lot of people can relate to because we all know what happens when phones, alcohol and regrets mix together,” shares Bentley. “Everyone’s wondered what they may have said the night before or on a bender. The music helps balance out those feelings the next morning and I love the way Wes was able to capture the turmoil of this song with three different perspectives.”

The forthcoming album’s “woozy kiss-off” (Country Weekly) lead single “Somewhere On A Beach” continues to breeze up the radio charts in the Top 10 as the fastest moving single of Bentley’s career. The singer/songwriter will set sail on his 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR with Randy Houser, Cam and Tucker Beathard beginning May 12 in Holmdel, NJ, following a string of dates overseas next week.

CJ Solar “Hard One To Turn Down” EP Review

Sea Gayle recording artist, CJ Solar, released his debut EP, Hard One To Turn Down. The new collection of music features five brand new songs, all of which Solar co-wrote, co-produced and played on. Hailing from Baton Rouge, CJ delivers relatable songs that country music fans will certainly appreciate.

Introducing the EP with “New Radio,” Solar makes a great introduction showcasing his solid vocals. The momentum continues with album titled single “Hard One To Turn Down.” The new track has an anthemic feel of sorts, and provides a laid-back vibe brought to life with notable lyrics. “Tall Boy” serves as the lead single from the EP and is based on getting over a relationship, which includes moving on with an ice cold tall boy.

Many will notice a familiar voice featured on “Just Another Day In The Country” as CJ Solar teams up with Jerrod Niemann. This is not the first time the two artists have worked together, Solar co-wrote Niemmann’s latest single “Blue Bandanna.” Bringing the EP to a close is  “A Little More Time,” a standout track which exposes a more vulnerable side to the artist, and brings the album full circle.

We were immediately captivated by all five songs, and hope that this album obtains the recognition it deserves. The country theme is strongly maintained throughout the EP, all while incorporating a variety of musical elements. Each song has its own sound and its own story, offering listeners a variety of gratifying music. CJ Solar makes a solid first impression with this release, and is a collection of music that is indeed a hard one turn down. In fact, you’ll want to turn it up!!!

Hard One To Turn Down is available for download on iTunes HERE.

Frankie Ballard To Release New Album EL RIO June 10

Warner Bros. Records/Warner Music Nashville’s Frankie Ballard announced today that his new album El Rio, one of Rolling Stone’s “35 Most Anticipated Country Albums of 2016” will be available everywhere on June 10. Recorded at the famed Sonic Ranch, just south of El Paso in Tornillo, Texas, Ballard, band, and producer Marshall Altman left the comfort of Nashville in exchange for the opportunity to immerse themselves 24/7 creating this unique and fresh album.

“I’m very proud of the work Marshall and I did on El Rio,” says Ballard. “We busted our ass to be better. It’s been a spiritual journey. This album has already changed my life, and nobody’s heard it yet.”

The album’s debut single, “It All Started With A Beer,” is nearing Top 20 at country radio and tells the story of a relationship that’s grown over time despite the bumps life offers along the way. “On the surface, it’s a love story about two folks meeting in a bar and having a beer,” says Ballard of the track. “From there, the relationship blossomed into something long lasting and now they’re looking back, going, ‘Man, look at this great relationship we got, and it started so simply, with just a beer.’ So many people can relate to the idea,” he continued. “But also, one of the deeper meanings of that song is sometimes the biggest shit that happens to you in life doesn’t start in a big way. That makes me hopeful for the future.”

Kenny Rogers Announces First Set Of Final Tour Dates

After more than five decades of touring and entertaining the world, Kenny Rogers will begin his final world tour on May 13th in Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Rogers announced late last year on NBC’s The Today Show that this upcoming tour would be his last. “The Gambler’s Last Deal” is expected to run into 2017. Dates are still being added due to popular demand.

The tour will include special guest Linda Davis for all dates, along with Charlie Worsham for select dates in Europe. Davis is a GRAMMY® Award winner whose hits include the No. 1 song, “Does He Love You” (with Reba McEntire). Nashville based singer-songwriter Worsham, who is excited to return to Europe with Rogers after a successful tour there earlier this year, is currently in the studio working on the follow up to his critically acclaimed debut, Rubberband.

“I’m excited about making one more sweep around the world,” Rogers remarked. “For more than five decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to have such wonderful, loyal audiences, and their support has meant so much. This final tour is going to be a celebration of all of my music, and I know each night will be truly special.”

“The Gambler’s Last Deal” concerts will include a reflective look back through Rogers’ storied 50-plus-year career. Enhanced with personal stories, vintage photos and video clips—including never-before-seen footage—the retrospective will touch on every part of Rogers’ career. Along with his long list of hits, Rogers plans to sing songs he hasn’t performed in years. The show is produced by veteran producer Kelly Junkermann.

Making this rare tour experience even more special, a very limited number of VIP ticket packages will be offered, allowing fans the opportunity to meet Rogers and receive one-of-a-kind “The Gambler’s Last Deal” memorabilia. Two types of VIP packages are available for each show of the tour. For more information, visit: www.kennyrogers.com.
