Miranda Lambert Tops Billboard’s Country Albums Chart with New Album The Weight Of These Wings

Miranda Lambert’s highly anticipated brand new album, The Weight Of These Wings, makes its debut at the top of Billboard’s Country Albums Chart, just one week after its November 18 release. In addition, the new album has been further embraced across all genres as it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

The double album, featuring 24 songs, serves as Lambert’s sixth studio album and has been garnered with some significant praise from top music critics such as Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Boston Globe, and more.

“…a range-y two-disc set ditching country’s mainstream playbook for the sort of Great Album rock acts used to spit out regularly back in the day.”
Rolling Stone

“Lambert crafts a sound that is deeply adaptable: catchy and introspective, tradition-bound
and cleanly contemporary.”
NPR Music

“…her piercing voice breaks in just the right places when her mood grows downcast, and explodes into colorful curlicues when she’s enthused, or peeved.”
The New York Times

“…marvelous 24-track masterwork.”
Us Weekly

“ ‘The Weight of These Wings’ matches the take-no-prisoners attitude of her lyrics with music that travels unexpected routes but often winds up touching the soul.”
The Boston Globe

“Across 24 contemplative songs, Lambert aches without wallowing. She daydreams without self-delusion. And that brilliant twang in her voice sounds more anchored, more experienced. If sorrow can congeal into wisdom, this is what it sounds like.”
The Washington Post

The Weight Of These Wings is available now at retail stores as well as digital music outlets. Grab your copy on iTunes here.

Thankfully no injuries have been reported and everyone is safe.
