David Fanning Releases His “First” Music Video of 2017

Rising artist David Fanning welcomes the new year with the release of his music video, “First.” Written by Fanning, Cary Barlowe and Radney Foster, “First” is the lead single from his debut EP, FIRST, released this past fall.

In addition to being a talented singer/songwriter, Fanning is also an accomplished producer with three No.1 records already in his catalogue under this role. David’s latest production has been on his recent EP, FIRST, which he co-produced with Ben Stennis and co-wrote all the tracks on the new collection of music.

“First” is already garnering massive attention with over 500K streams on Spotify’s New Boots playlist. Bringing the track to life with the release of the music video, the momentum will no doubt continue for the talented artist on the rise.

In Case You Didn’t Know…. Brett Young Has A New Single at Country Radio

In case you didn’t know, Brett Young has a brand new single at country radio now! The new track, “In Case You Didn’t Know,” was written by Young, Tyler Reeve, Kyle Schlienger and Trent Tomlinson, and follows Young’s No. 1 debut hit single “Sleep Without You.”

“In Case You Didn’t Know” will be on Brett’s debut self-titled album scheduled for release on February 10, and will be further highlighted while out on tour with Justin Moore and Lee Brice on their AMERICAN MADE TOUR, as well Luke Bryan’s KILL THE LIGHTS TOUR.

2017 RodeoHouston Entertainer Lineup Revealed

In anticipation of one of the world’s largest live entertainment and livestock exhibitions, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ took to Facebook Live at midnight on Monday, January 9 to announce their 2017 entertainer lineup. Surprise guest and opening night entertainer Aaron Watson made the official announcement in front of a select group of media and 60 lucky fans.

The lineup features some of the biggest names in today’s music including The Chainsmokers, Willie Nelson, Sam Hunt, Fifth Harmony, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, and more.

More than half of the star-studded entertainer lineup scheduled to perform at RODEOHOUSTON® will take the rotating stage for the first time in 2017. “With a number of RODEOHOUSTON® veterans and entertainers who are new to the rotating stage, the March entertainment schedule is set,” said Joel Cowley, president and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™. “Houstonians can see a diverse offering of incredibly talented artists at truly affordable prices.”

Alan Jackson’s Beloved Mother, Mama Ruth, Passes Away

Alan Jackson’s mother, Ruth Jackson, also commonly known as Mama Ruth, passed away this weekend on Saturday, January 7 at her home in Georgia. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her five children, Alan, Diane, Cathy, Carol and Connie, as well as by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Mama Ruth has been an inspiration to Alan’s career, as has his late father, Joseph Eugene Jackson, known as Daddy Gene, who passed away 17 years ago in January of 2000.

Ruth’s life will be celebrated and honored on Thursday, January 12 at Central Baptist Church in Newnan, GA.
