Jason Aldean Adds Luke Combs To His “Concert For The Kids”

As two-time and reigning ACM “Entertainer of the Year” Jason Aldean plans to return to his hometown of Macon, GA for his second Concert For The Kids on Friday, August 11th, Sony’s breakout artist Luke Combs has been added as direct support. Additionally, Aldean has teamed with local radio station WDEN-FM to choose the area’s best emerging talent to serve as the night’s opening artist for the one-night-only show at the Macon Coliseum.

After raising more than half a million dollars for the cause last year, all proceeds will once again benefit the Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health, which serves as Bibb County’s only dedicated pediatric facility in central Georgia that enhances the lives of children through patient care, research and education. Tickets can be purchased at JasonAldean.com, Ticketmaster.com and the venue box office during normal business hours.

Midland’s Debut Album Set To Arrive On September 22

MIDLAND officially enters Top 10 territory this week at Country radio with their debut single “Drinkin’ Problem.” Mirroring the Dripping Springs, TX trio’s airplay chart position, sales lasso the Top 10 for digital Country singles.

Midland’s throwback sound, which Rolling Stone Country called “Solid. Country. Gold.” earlier this year, has been bottled up in a 13-track album arriving on September 22. Produced by Dann Huff, Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, the trio’s full length project features an intoxicating collection of tunes that are reminiscent of the band’s influences ranging from Gary Stewart, The Eagles and Dwight Yoakam.

Recognized by Hits magazine for “their lush harmonies, masterful guitar work and classic song sense,” and named by Entertainment Weekly as one of “10 New Artists Who Will Rule 2017,” Midland will be featured in an upcoming edition of NPR’s World Café hosted by Ann Powers.

Midland will open for Kenny Chesney later this summer before heading out on the road with Jon Pardi on the annual CMT tour. For a complete list of dates, visit MidlandOfficial.com.

“Dierks does a great job of keeping everybody like they’re family,” Jon continues. “Even from his crew, his truck drivers to the catering people to the opening acts, so he does a really good job, and I’ve always admired that about him. Darius Rucker Releases New Single “For The First Time” From Forthcoming Studio Album

When his voice first graced radio airwaves it led to GQ Magazine naming him one of their Men of the Year noting “we catch ourselves humming his melodies on the subway … only then do we realize that his name … is no longer just a proper noun. It’s a symbol now.” With such an illustrious, groundbreaking and symbolic career, Darius Rucker is constantly reinventing and striving for ways fans can have new experiences at his shows, however in doing so it had a surprising outcome that left him asking, “when was the last time I did something for the first time?” That simple question led to his latest release, a song he wrote with Derek George and Travis Hill, “For The First Time,” available now and impacting Country radio on Monday, July 24.

“As a songwriter, sometimes the smallest idea can elicit a feeling and then you have this daunting task of trying to relay that emotion and energy into a three-minute song,” shares the man the Associated Press says “shows he can leave a distinctive mark on 21st-century country music.” “When we wrote ‘For The First Time,’ we each had to dig deep for that moment – for me it was ‘you say you’ve never danced to a dashboard singin’ REM under summer stars.’ After that it was all over.”

“For The First Time” is the follow-up to his most recent No. 1 single, “If I Told You,” the first off his long-awaited as-yet-untitled fifth Capitol Records Nashville album, slated for release later this year with Producer Ross Copperman at the helm. It will be yet another signature moment in the multiplatinum career of one of music’s most beloved figures.

Rucker has never been busier while working on his new album with a slate of television appearances this spring and summer including a CMT Crossroads episode with John Mellencamp, an appearance in Adam Sandler’s Netflix original, Sandy Wexler, and his own episode of Celebrity Undercover Boss on CBS.
