Cracker Barrel Old Country Store®  announced its holiday campaign Countdown to Christmas, which calls on some of the brand’s music partners to spread the spirit of the season. The program will feature 25 days of holiday- and music-themed surprises and exciting offers, and will kick off on Dec. 1. Participating artists include Martina McBride, Brett Young, Josh Turner and Dailey & Vincent.

The Countdown will begin with an exclusive video release from Martina McBride covering a holiday classic, which can be viewed on Cracker Barrel’s social platforms and YouTube Channel. Over the remaining days, Cracker Barrel fans and guests can watch exclusive videos from Brett Young, whose sophomore album “Ticket to L.A.” releases Dec. 7, and Josh Turner, who recently released his No.1-debuting album “I Serve A Savior”.

In addition, Dailey & Vincent, who recently released their first-ever holiday album “Dailey & Vincent: The Sounds of Christmas,” will bring holiday cheer to the U.S. Military in a special way.

“My new album comes out this December, so I’m excited to be teaming up with Cracker Barrel this holiday season to bring special new content to fans,” said Young.

“I’m honored to join Cracker Barrel this season for their Countdown to Christmas campaign. I’ve had a long history with Cracker Barrel both professionally and personally,” shares Turner. “I always enjoy working with them and when I’m on the road, I always enjoy stopping in for one of my favorite meals… country fried steak!”

“We feel humbly blessed and thankful to partner with Cracker Barrel for the Countdown to Christmas and are honored to bring some Christmas spirit to our men and women in uniform – those who protect our beloved America here, at home and abroad,” said Dailey & Vincent.

“Through programs like Countdown to Christmas, music allows us to authentically and emotionally connect with our guests,” said Cracker Barrel Senior Marketing Manager Julie Ulmer. “The artists we’re partnering with already have a genuine connection to our brand, care about time spent with family and enjoy giving back.”

As part of Countdown to Christmas, Cracker Barrel launched the “Joy of Christmas” contest alongside Martina McBride earlier this month, where five deserving families were chosen for a whirlwind weekend getaway in Nashville inclusive of attending her concert on Nov. 30, meeting McBride backstage, roundtrip airfare, a two-night hotel stay, $1,000 gift card, and admittance to a Cracker Barrel-catered event.

Cracker Barrel has partnered with a variety of music artists on several projects, including album releases – some of which have debuted in top Billboard chart spots – and retail product lines. Cracker Barrel partners show the diverse range of genres and artists that identify with the brand, including Anthony Hamilton, MercyMe, Carrie Underwood, Josh Turner, NEEDTOBREATHE, Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery.

Ana Cristina Cash Releases Her Holiday Favorites with “My Christmas Collection” Album

Talented singer/songwriter Ana Cristina Cash has released a holiday compilation album, My Christmas Collection. The 11-song album features Ana’s favorite Christmas tracks, and an original holiday song, “Santa Claus Is Real,” and a lovely duet of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, featuring her husband John Carter Cash.

My Christmas Collection highlights Cash’s heritage with a bilingual take on holiday classic, “Silent Night.” Additionally, the album was recorded at the historic Cash Cabin Studio and produced by her husband.

“Recording ‘My Christmas Collection’ has been a huge passion project for me. I have always dreamed of creating a traditional Christmas album for as long as I can remember,” commented Ana. “We spent three and a half years working on it at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, TN. It was a wonderful experience to have my husband, John Carter Cash, at the helm of the project, producing it. I wanted all of the classic holiday songs to have a timeless and warm feel to them, so we added various elements to the orchestral arrangements such as strings and horns.”

She went on to say, “The original song on the album, ‘Santa Claus Is Real,’ was a fun and lighthearted co-write for John and me that details Santa’s visit on Christmas Eve. Probably one of the most intricate and detailed recordings of my career is the ‘Carol of the Bells/God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ track on this album. I am the only person doing the various vocal parts, essentially becoming a one-woman-choir, and we ended up with over 200 of my vocal tracks for the song.”

It’s never to early to start getting in the holiday spirit! My Christmas Collection is available now to enjoy throughout the holiday season. Pick up your copy online or at a store near you.

CMR Exclusive: First Listen to Chance McKinney’s New Track “Call You Quits”

Artist on the rise Chance McKinney is gearing up for the release of his latest EP, . The new collection of music will be available on November 30th and features 4 songs, including brand new track “Call You Quits.”

To celebrate the release of McKinney’s new EP, we’re exclusively premiering the first listen to “Call You Quits.” Of this new song, McKinney says it is one that many will be able to identify with.

“‘Call You Quits’ is that story about being addicted to a relationship that everyone can identify with” Chance McKinney shares with us. “As for the inspiration behind it, we felt with the success of “Take It Back” off this past EP that the topic was extremely relevant to our fans. From a simple text of “are you up?” to the emotions that come with the “rollercoaster” of hanging onto a toxic relationship that can feel more like a drug, you’ve got the setup for “Call You Quits.” I know I should ignore you, walk away from you, “quit” you… but, I gotta get my fix.”

“I’ve always loved songs like this;” Chance continues, “well done metaphors that make the listener go “yeah, I’ve felt that way” are the most enticing songs for me. Everyone loves getting advice or hearing stories they can relate to.”

“Hang onto your britches when you hit the 2nd verse. That’s all I’m sayin’. You’ve been warned.”

Kenny Chesney Adds David Lee Murphy To His 2019 “Songs for the Saints Tour”

Having spent his summer as the unannounced, walk-on guest at Kenny Chesney’s 19 major stadium concerts, David Lee Murphy’s getting called up as direct support for the Songs for the Saints 2019 Tour. The move seems fitting not just for the number of songs he’s written for the eight-time Entertainer of the Year, but for the intense response his surprise appearances evoked in every single market.

“There is only one David Lee Murphy,” says the headliner. “He is, as ‘Living In Fast Forward’ says, ‘a hillbilly rock star,’ and No Shoes Nation showed that every time he hit that stage! He has a thing about him that is old school country, rocking, laid back, fired up and chilled out… And he brings it every single night.”

Murphy came out for “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” the No. 1 duet of reassurance in trying times from the Chesney/Buddy Cannon/Murphy co-produced No Zip Code, and winner of Musical Event of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards. But he stayed for his chart-topping “Dust On The Bottle” and 1995’s most played song, “Party Crowd,” to equally zealous responses, proving No Shoes Nation’s love of music is deep and wide.

“Last year walking out onstage with Kenny was awesome,” says the Southern Illinois-born and –bred songwriter and artist. “But it was over so fast. I’m excited to have a whole set to be able to play to those fans, because No Shoes Nation takes their music as seriously as any group of fans/music lovers I’ve ever seen. They opened their arms to me last year. And I can’t wait for this year.”

Beyond penning Chesney’s, “Living In Fast Forward,” “Til It’s Gone,” “Just Not Today,” “Bar at the End of the World,” and the iconic “Pirate Flag,” Murphy’s written Blake Shelton’s “The More I Drink,” Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor,” Jake Owen’s “Anywhere With You” and Thompson Square’s GRAMMY-nominated “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not.”

More importantly, No Zip Code – with its current single “I Won’t Be Sorry” climbing the charts returns the man who’s had six Top 10s to the realm of today’s contemporary music. Billboard deemed the project, “swaggering” and People called it “a declaration of living without regrets.”

For Chesney, recently profiled in The New York Times for his intersective approach to music through sports, Murphy’s presence on a tour focused specifically on taking his music to the people where they live is obvious.

“People live inside these songs. You can hear it when they sing ‘em back to us every night, and you could feel it when they sang along with David Lee at those stadium shows. He’s as much a member of No Shoes Nation as anyone, and I want these fans to get to experience what makes his kind of country music not just unique, but real.”
