One week following the tragic shooting that occurred last week in Vegas on October 1, 2017, at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany returned to the city. Both Jason and Brittney witnessed the tragic event first hand. Aldean was on-stage performing when the shooting started and his wife Brittany was nearby at the event.
Following the tragedy, the country superstar cancelled his tour stops that were previously scheduled for this past weekend. Aldean stated “Out of respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do.” The Aldean’s spent their weekend off by returning to Vegas on Sunday, 10/8, and visiting injured victims.
Additionally, Jason made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live on October 7 where he opened the show with a strong performance of “We Won’t Back Down,” making a strong statement and honoring the late Tom Petty.
