The Band Perry helped kick-off opening day of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ Tuesday, March 1 with the help of band member Neil Perry who dressed as Rodeosaurus, to try out a new “mascot” for RodeoHouston.

On an episode of “RodeoHouston Unplugged,” hosted by social media correspondents Mark and Jay O’Shea, Neil Perry of The Band Perry dressed incognito as Rodeosaurus and was escorted around the RodeoHouston grounds to mingle with unsuspecting fans and rodeo-goers before hitting the stage as the opening night entertainment. The video, originally posted on RodeoHouston’s Facebook page, has already garnered over 50,000 views in less than 15 hours.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ will continue to take place through March 20. Nightly entertainment to take place throughout the month will include performances by Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and more.
