Arista Nashville recording stars, The Swon Brothers, made their Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday April 12 to a packed Opry house.

The sibling duo took the stage in their signature style and immediately went into a dialogue about how honored they were to be on that hallowed stage and how they had always dreamed about it. Colton told the almost capacity audience that they were in for their very first “Swoncert” and Zach said how happy he was to be there sharing this moment with his “sister” that night, referring of course to his brother Colton, and getting a chorus of laughter from the crowd.

Then the brothers shifted into a more serious gear and introduced their first song, talking about the history of the legendary country music show and as a tribute they sang a verse and chorus of the George Jones classic “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes.” However, in an unprecedented move, the brothers stopped mid-point of the song and called their parents out on stage with them. They explained that they wanted to thank them for all of the sacrifices that they had made through the years to help them achieve their lifelong dream of being recording artists, saying that they wanted them to share this moment on this particular stage with them for the very first time and to see it from the same perspective as their children.

“Playing the Opry for the first time is something one can’t describe. Dreaming all these years of singing on that stage did not even come close to the real life moment,” says Colton Swon.

“So much history and greatness surrounded us. It’s every country singer’s dream to stand on that stage. What a life changing experience that I’ll never forget,” says Zach Swon.

There were not many dry eyes in the house when the duo launched into their debut single “Later On,” which was received with deafening cheers and applause when they completed their performance. Fans gathered backstage to get photos with the duo and one young lady in particular explained that she was missing her senior prom to be there.
