Funeral arrangements have been set for Grand Ole Opry Star Little Jimmy Dickens, who passed away on January 2. Jimmy joined the Opry in 1948 and last performed on the Opry stage on Saturday, December 20, one day after his 94th birthday.
It is with a heavy heart to report that Country Music Icon and Grand Ole Opry star Little Jimmy Dickens passed away today, January 2, at the age of 94. Dickens passed of cardiac arrest after being hospitalized from a stroke on Christmas Day. Dickens is a highly respected member of the country music community, and was the longest running member of the Grand Ole Opry.
