Cole Swindell To Release New Album “You Should Be Here” May 6

Rising star Cole Swindell is set to follow up his Gold-certified debut album on May 6th with You Should Be Here. The forthcoming album draws its name from its emotional lead single, which has quickly vaulted to the Top 15 on the Billboard Country Singles chart only three weeks after its official impact date and has become his fastest rising single yet.

“You Should Be Here,” co-written by Swindell and Ashley Gorley, follows a string of No. 1 hits (including the recent smash, Gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl” and Platinum-certified “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” and “Chillin’ It”), the success of which established him as the first-ever solo male artist in the history of Country Aircheck / Mediabase to top the charts with his first four singles. In just over a month since its release, “You Should Be Here” has sold over 172k units and surpassed almost 6 million streams. It was not only the most-added song on its first day at country radio, but it also shot immediately to No. 1 on the iTunes Country Chart as well as Top 10 on the iTunes All Genre Chart.

The song and its accompanying music video have also garnered a huge response from fans. Directed by Michael Monaco and shot in Glennville, GA, the video mixes clips from some of the early milestones in Swindell’s career, including his Grand Ole Opry debut and performing onstage with superstars such as Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson, with a moving homecoming and his first visit to the cemetery where his dad was laid to rest.

Nash Country Weekly praised Swindell’s change-of-pace: “Backed by a piano melody, weeping guitars and electronic beats that evoke a grief-stricken heart, fans get a glimpse of who Cole really is and a powerful tribute worthy of their own loved ones.”

Charles Kelley Is Excited About Becoming A Father

With his wife Cassie about to give birth to the couple’s first child – a boy – Charles Kelley (of Lady Antebellum) says he’s excited about becoming a father and the possibilities that lie ahead for his sweet family.

“I think I’m looking forward to the most just, I don’t know, what kind of parents we’re gonna be. I’m excited,” says Charles. “I just want a healthy baby, first and foremost. I’m just looking forward to seeing kind of how it changes…I’m just so excited to just have a little buddy and somebody I can teach all the things. My dad was such an amazing father to me and always instilled a really strong work ethic, and I want to do the same with him. Looking forward to everything – the good, the bad, all of it.”

Charles is also getting ready for another kind of baby – his first solo album, The Driver. The collection, featuring the Grammy-nominated title track, as well as special appearances by Stevie Nicks and Miranda Lambert, is available February 5th.

Old Dominion To Make Late Night Debut On Jimmy Kimmel Live February 1

RCA Nashville’s Old Dominion will stop by Jimmy Kimmel Live this Monday, Feb. 1 to perform two songs from their 2015 major-label debut, Meat and Candy. Coming off the success of their smash multi-week No. 1 single “Break Up With Him,” the band will also perform their new single “Snapback,” which is currently rapidly climbing the country charts. Fans can tune in on Monday, Feb.1 at 11:35 p.m. /10:35 p.m. CT to watch.

“Snapback” has connected instantly with fans becoming one of the fastest rising singles of the year about to cross over Top 20 only three weeks after its release. Critics have echoed the sentiment, with NPR Fresh Air describing Meat and Candy as “an enjoyable and a calculated album, very clever and very self-conscious” while hailing the band as “one of country music’s few current self-contained bands.”

Fans will have plenty of opportunities to catch the band Billboard praises as “helping to usher in a new wave of country” as they continue to crisscross the continent bringing their exciting live show to their fans in 2016. First up is a headlining Meat and Candy Tour that has already secured sellouts of 15 shows across the U.S., plus a stop in London, UK at the C2C after party. Later in the year, the band will join Kenny Chesney for the second straight summer along with Miranda Lambert and Sam Hunt.
