Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots Release New Single “If I Was Your Boyfriend”

Black River Entertainment recording artists Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots, the comedy group comprised of Bobby Bones and Producer Eddie from iHeartMedia’s The Bobby Bones Show, are giving fans a behind the scenes look into the dating life of Bobby while sharing the lead track off of their upcoming full-length album with the release of “If I Was Your Boyfriend.” Fans can watch “If I Was Your Boyfriend” now at CMT.com.

Directed by Robert Chavers, Producer Eddie takes his real-life producing role on the top-rated Country morning radio show to another level as he coaches Bobby through the excruciating process of dating and feeds him lines throughout Bobby’s “presentation.”

“It was a lot fun to shoot the music video for “If I Was Your Boyfriend” because we got to write the song, write the video treatment, and do the acting,” said Bones. “It was also a little intimidating to shoot it at CMT. I’ve watched CMT my whole life and we’ve seen many awesome artists there. Since we are the opposite of awesome, it was surreal.”

Bobby Bones wrote “If I Was Your Boyfriend” for a specific lady that unfortunately didn’t take him up on the invitation to become his is girlfriend. Ever the optimist, Bobby decided to give the song a new life and later turned to Michael Saenz and Mical Trejo to rework the song.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, “If I Was Your Boyfriend” was co-produced by Nick Autry and Bobby Bones and is digitally available now on iTunes.

Chase Bryant Releases “Little Bit Of You” Music Video

The official music video for Chase Bryant’s current Top 15 smash “Little Bit of You” world premiered across all VEVO platforms.

Directed by Jeff Johnson, the video juxtapositions live performances from footage taken across the U.S. with a romantic, introspective storyline shot during Bryant’s off days in Nashville. Earlier this week, Bryant gave Taste of Country a special “First Look” at the video, and spoke of the story-behind-the song:

“When I wrote this song I was dating a girl in California. Being 3000 miles away all the time, I always had the feeling that I’d do anything in my power to get there to be with her. Making this video I think we establish that story, but also captured this life I live in many different venues and cities on the road. This is the real me on tour with my band,” says Bryant.

The up-tempo crowd-pleaser is the follow-up to Bryant’s smash debut, “Take It On Back,” which earned the musical maverick ‘One to Watch’ notices from the likes of The Huffington Post, iHeart Media, NASH Country Weekly, People Country, Pollstar, PopSugar, Rolling Stone, Taste of Country, USA Today, Teen Vogue and more.

“Little Bit of You” was co-written by Bryant alongside #1 songwriters Ashley Gorley (“All-American Girl” – Carrie Underwood) and Derek George (“So Much for Pretending” – Bryan White). The track was co-produced by Chase Bryant and Derek George. It appears on Bryant’s debut self-titled EP available at digital retailers now HERE.

Bryant has spent an intensive two straight years on the road, supporting superstar Tim McGraw on his SHOTGUN RIDER TOUR and as part of Brantley Gilbert’s LET IT RIDE TOUR. Most recently, Bryant electrified audiences with his six-string prowess and powerful vocals as part of Kip Moore’s WILD ONES tour. Scotty McCreery To Return To American Idol

Multi-Platinum-selling country music sensation Scotty McCreery returned to his roots earlier this week when he taped an episode of the Farewell Season of “American Idol.” For three days, the Season Ten champion mentored two of the Top 24 contestants and shared lessons learned from both his experience on the iconic television show and in his ACM and CMT Award-winning career.

Much to the excitement of the studio audience, the entertainer also performed duets with both singers. “American Idol,” featuring McCreery, along with five other returning Idols, will air next Thursday, February 11 at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT) on the FOX Television Network.

“I remember how important it was to me during my time on ‘Idol’ to meet and learn from all the great artists who visited the set and offered their advice,” said McCreery. “I was proud to be able to come back and offer whatever guidance I could to my two talented contestants. This is their season and their show. I was there to help them shine…and I believe they both did!”

McCreery is on the road next week performing concerts on Feb. 12 at the Canton Palace Theater in Canton, Ohio; Feb. 13 at the Secrest in Zanesville, Ohio; and Feb. 14 at the River City Casino in St. Louis, Missouri. He will release his first book, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, on May 3. The book is available now for pre-sale at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and ChristianBook.com.

LoCash To Make Morning and Late Night TV Debut

One of the feel good stories in country music during the past year is the success story of Reviver Records recording duo LOCASH. Consisting of Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, they’ve watched as “I Love This Life,” has climbed all the way to No. 2 on the Billboard airplay chart.

Watching the rise of the song, which was co-written by veteran songwriter Danny Myrick and Academy of Country Music Awards nominee Chris Janson, has been a moment that the duo will never forget.

“Hard work is really starting to pay off for us,” says Chris Lucas. “We have been seeing the response live. People are singing it back to us. It’s an amazing feeling, for sure.” Brust agrees, adding, “Every day is so exciting. I know this sounds like a cliché, but dreams do come true. We have worked so hard to get to this point. It’s so surreal.”

And, with 2016 in gear, the good times are only going to get better. On February 24, LOCASH will make their network morning show debut on NBC’s The Today Show from New York City, and will guest on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live just a few weeks later, on March 16.

The Today Show is one of the most iconic network shows of all time,” says Brust. “When you think about all of the artists that have gotten a chance to showcase their talents on that platform, you realize just how lucky you are.” As far as the Kimmel appearance, Lucas says it’s just more of their goals being realized. “Come on, late-night network television, man! Who doesn’t dream of that? We’re just so blessed and grateful for everything that is going on right now with our careers, and our team that has gotten us where we are. I think if you talked to Preston or me, either one of us would definitely say… ‘I Love This Life.'”

LOCASH has also just released their follow-up to their smash hit, with “I Know Somebody” beginning to make an impact at radio.

Chase Rice Pens Honest and Heartfelt Letter to Fans

In light of his new single, “Whisper,” releasing today, Chase Rice penned a letter with his personal thoughts on the new music direct to fans. “Whisper” is the first release from Chase’s forthcoming album on Columbia Nashville / Dack Janiels Records, expected later this year, and he also co-wrote it with Chris DeStefano and Jon Nite.

My Honest Letter to You, The Fan

Chase Rice Letter to Fans - CountryMusicRocks.net
What’s up y’all, Chase here. I wanna start by saying I hope y’all enjoy my new song “Whisper.” My guys and I have put a ton of work and thought into this new music, and I know a bunch of you out there will love it. Having said that, I’m not ignorant, there are a lot of people out there waiting for country music to find a little more depth and meaning. Well, I agree with you. Country music deserves that. This first song may not be what you’re looking for yet, but that’s ok, because music was not meant to be heard in singles, but in albums. My album will be out later this summer, and I can promise you one thing….if you absolutely love this progressive version, I appreciate you, and I think you will love this upcoming ALBUM. If you have listened to my music for years and want to hear more depth and meaning, I very much appreciate you, too, and your desires will also be fulfilled on this album (and truthfully, that was my goal on previous albums with songs like “Carolina Can” and “Every Song I Sing.”) I grew up on guys like Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney. Songs like “The Dance” and “There Goes My Life” spoke to me at that time and still do today. They helped shape me as an artist and as a man. I cannot speak to the state of country music, after all I’m just one small part of it, but I can speak about my music, and I have a strong desire to put my life stories–good or bad, fun or serious, cliche or not often said–into my albums. Having said this, I also know I can’t please everybody, so if you’re a fan of mine, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you’re not a fan of mine, you most likely haven’t gotten this far in this letter, but I appreciate you, too, because you, too, give me the drive to maybe one day convert you with three chords and the truth, one song, or one show, but since it’s coming from me, it’s going to come to you one album at a time.
God Bless,
Chase

“Whisper” is available now on digital media outlets, such as iTunes, HERE.
