A Thousand Horses Bring New Single “Southernality” To Country Radio

History-making band A Thousand Horses today released “Southernality,” their third single and title track off their Republic Nashville debut album. The high-energy tune is a nod to their Southern roots and expresses the lifestyle in which they grew up with lyrics thrusting, “Laid back, way back simple southernality / Flag flyin’, sun shinin’, red, white, blue and free / Old ball cap, pair of worn out jeans, boots and a buckle that’s how we lean / Laid back, way back simple southernality.”

Written by A Thousand Horses’ frontman Michael Hobby, Corey Crowder and Neil Mason (The Cadillac Three), the song has been a crowd favorite on the road with Jason Aldean’s WE WERE HERE TOUR. HITS recently assessed: “The band’s soulful Southern rock attack, utterly winning on recent album SOUTHERNALITY, is fully explosive in a live setting.”

This spring will find A Thousand Horses herding to high-profile festivals such as Tortuga in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Stagecoach in Endio, CA and C2C in London. They will also perform at ACM’s Party for a Cause on April 2 leading into the ACM Awards on April 3, where they are nominated for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year. Additionally, the video for their debut single “Smoke” is nominated for Australia’s CMC Music Award for International Video of the Year presented on March 10.

“Smoke” went to #1 on both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay Charts after making Country Aircheck history as the highest debut for a new artist’s first single. A Thousand Horses also became the first band (with at least three members) to send a debut single to #1 on Billboard Country Airplay Chart this decade. With Michael Hobby leading vocals, Bill Satcher and Zach Brown on guitar and Graham Deloach on bass, the CMT Award-nominated band shows no signs of slowing down.
