Kristian Bush Unveils New Theme Song for TLC’s Say Yes To The Dress

Brides-to-be, wedding singers and country music fans will all be saying yes to GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist Kristian Bush’s love song “Forever Now (Say Yes),” released just in time for wedding season. Featured as the new theme for the hit TV series TLC’s SAY YES TO THE DRESS, the song debuts as the show enters its 14th season with tonight’s premiere at 9/8c.

Coming up later in the season, Bush will make a special cameo appearance to help his guitar tech’s fiancée, classic country girl Evyn, find the perfect dress. Bush’s first trip to Kleinfeld and an inside look at the magic of wedding dress shopping inspired him to write the song.

“I’ve started calling that place [Kleinfeld] ‘a warehouse of hope.’ There were so many dreams that were coming true around me, all at the same time. As a songwriter, it was intoxicating, seeing the very intimate experiences of strangers looking for the right dress to face the mystery of the rest of their lives. I realized as I sat down to write the song that each of those women was ready for their ‘forever’,” shared Bush in a recent interview with The Knot.

Today, the music video for “Forever Now (Say Yes)” will debut exclusively on TLC.com. The video visually brings to life the emotion of the song by weaving together stunning vignettes of SAY YES brides on their big day with Bush performing the song in his Atlanta recording studio.

Recently signed to BBR Music Group’s Wheelhouse Records, Bush is already in the studio working on the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed debut solo album, SOUTHERN GRAVITY.

Old Dominion Makes Donation to ACM Lifting Lives

Hits Magazine calls Old Dominion “songwriter-driven, road-tested,” and the two-time ACM nominated band is certainly living up to that moniker. Tuesday night (March 1) they became the first act to sell out Chicago area’s new venue Joe’s Live in Rosemont, Ill. with tickets going clean over three weeks ahead of their performance.

The new bar, located not even 15 miles northwest of the famed Joe’s on Weed Street where Old Dominion cut their teeth before adding multiple nights at the 945-capacity venue to satisfy fan demand, teamed up ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music, to donate $2 of every ticket totaling an unprecedented $4,600 to benefit the ACM Lifting Lives’ mission of improving lives through the power of music.

“Music has the power to heal, motivate, empower, unite, and improve lives, and tonight, all those things converge,” shared lead singer Matthew Ramsey before thanking the assembled fans for their contribution to such an incredible organization. “Chicago fans have supported us from the first time we played Joe’s on Weed in March 2014; I think I even recognize a few of you from that first night. We cannot thank you enough for helping us get to this point in our careers.”

Old Dominion, who is nominated for New Vocal Group/Duo of the Year as well as Vocal Group of the Year at the 51st ACM Awards, is currently watching their Top 15 single “Snapback” climb the charts at double the speed their two-week No. 1, “Break Up With Him,” raced to its peak.

The single, whose new music video captures the very zeitgeist of today’s eclectic music lover and features professional skateboarder Leticia Bufoni, premiered earlier this week.

The five-piece band, consisting of Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung, Brad Tursi and Whit Sellers, which Rolling Stone Country notes is “building on the country-band blueprint set by the likes of Alabama and adding some fuzzy guitars, catchy licks and even a little rap that shoots for stadiums, not saloons” is headlining their Meat and Candy Tour, selling out shows throughout the country. On April 23, they will join Kenny Chesney on the road for his 2016 tour for the second year in a row.

Buck Commander Pranks Luke Bryan

The guys of Buck Commander decided it was a good idea to prank their fellow member, Luke Bryan, on a recent visit to a deerstand. They planted a live rat in one of the guy’s backpacks and asked Luke to reach into it for some supplies. While it freaked him out a bit, he didn’t flip out, like most folks.

Luke is currently prepping for his ACM Awards hosting gig next month, along with good friend Dierks Bentley. The 51st Academy of Country Music Awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas April 3rd at 8pm ET/delayed PT on CBS.

Billy Currington Leaves Fans With Georgia On Their Mind with Impressive Cover

On February 27th platinum-selling, Grammy, ACM, and CMA nominated artist, Billy Currington, took his Summer Forever tour to his home state of Georgia where he delivered a powerful rendition of the Ray Charles classic, “Georgia On My Mind.”

The Macon, GA crowd was brought to their feet as Currington delivered soulful vocals paying homage to the place he still calls home.

His latest single, “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To,” off of his sixth studio album, Summer Forever, continues to climb the charts. Written by Currington with Cary Barlowe and Shy Carter, he has said it’s one of his favorite songs on the album. He explains that it was a fluke that it was even written, “I just stopped by to see a couple of buddies, Cary and Shy one night. Cary and I picked up guitars at the same time and played basically the same chord, and the next thing you know we were writing the song.”

The song follows his first single off of Summer Forever, “Don’t It,” which climbed to number 1 on the country airplay charts, marking it his 10th #1 single, and became an anthem of summer 2015.

Currington’s series of chart-toppers include “Don’t,” “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” “Hey Girl,” and “We Are Tonight.”

Jake Owen Releases New Single “American Country Love Song”

Today, iHeart Media hosts the world premiere of Jake Owen’s much-anticipated new single, “American Country Love Song.” Written by Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Jaren Johnston, the song is destined to become 2016’s warm-weather anthem with its energetic vibe and lyrics that perfectly capture the hope brought on by spring and new beginnings.

“’American Country Love Song’” has the feeling of freedom and being young and adventurous,” Jake says. “It is a broad-spectrum glance in a three-minute song that describes a couple of kids living that American country love song, It’s also a much larger celebration of the love story that is America itself, from cowboys and cowgirls to cheerleaders and quarterbacks in small towns and big cities. It’s the thought of, ‘Hey, let’s raise our glasses to the fact that we are all one in the same,’” he says. “Wherever you live in this country, we are basically living one big American country love song.”

Love is a common theme throughout Jake’s forthcoming album and that is what inspired him to purchase a 1966 Volkswagen bus, which he has dubbed the “Love Bus.” He decided on Monday that he is going drive 1000 + miles from Nashville to Key West, Fla., beginning Saturday, March 5 to share the love and new music.

Jake has always been very accessible to his fans with spontaneous Twitter invitations to join him at a restaurant or the boat dock, so he will invite fans to meet up with him along the route, which will be revealed soon.  (Fans can follow his progress through Instagram & Twitter – @jakeslovebus)

“I have always wanted to do this,” he says. “Let’s load up in this thing and take a road trip and see where it takes us and document the things that happen along the way. It goes right in line with the song.

“The purpose is to see firsthand that the lyrics of the single are real, whether you live in a big city or a small town. I want to be able to show that what I am singing about in this song is exactly what is happening on a day-to-day basis in America.”

In addition, Jake says, “My goal at this point in my life is to promote positivity and love. When I stop in a town and visit with people, they will realize that I am not just talking the talk, but I am walking the walk. We all need more positivity in our lives. I’m ready to bring it.”

“American Country Love Song” is available on iTunes NOW. Grab your copy HERE.

To celebrate the release of the new single, Jake went on his facebook page and to live chat with fans!
