ACM and CBS Announce New “ACM Sessions” with Old Dominion

The Academy of Country Music and CBS Digital Media today announced the launch of a new performance in the ACM Sessions online concert series, presented by RAM Trucks, which brings fans access to country music’s biggest stars with on-demand performances and interviews.

“ACM Sessions” with modern country music quintet Old Dominion – a two-time nominee (New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year) at the upcoming 51ST ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS – is now available on-demand exclusively on CBS.com and CBS Audience Network partner sites.

“ACM Sessions” feature some of country music’s biggest stars and rising talent – recent performances have included Hunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, Justin Moore, and Chris Young – performing their hits and participating in Q&A sessions hosted by the Academy of Country Music’s Lisa Lee.

Old Dominion’s “ACM Sessions” features songs off of their debut album, Meat and Candy, including the No. 1 hit “Break Up with Him,” as well as an interview with Lisa Lee of the Academy of Country Music.

Old Dominion – Matthew Ramsey – vocals/guitar, Brad Tursi – guitar, Trevor Rosen – guitar/vocals, Geoff Sprung – bass, Whit Sellers – drums – got their start as songwriters working on hits for country music superstars including Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan and more. As Old Dominion, the quintet brings their own spirited take to country music by melding clever lyrics with genre-bending arrangements and melodies.

Fans can watch Old Dominion’s “ACM Sessions” performances on-demand on the CBS App or online at CBS.com. The show is also available on-demand through CBS properties and select CBS Audience Network partners.

The 51ST ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, which will be hosted by Dierks Bentley and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan, will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Josh Kelley to Release New Album “New Lane Road” April 22

Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Josh Kelley will release his first new music in five years, New Lane Road, with new partner Sugar Hill Records on Friday, April 22.

Kelley devoted three years to writing, engineering and producing, playing most of the instruments himself on this very personal project.

“This record is the most me of any record I’ve ever made,” Kelley asserts. “It’s the most honest I’ve ever been, and it’s the best subject matter I’ve ever had to write about. When I was first coming up, I was young and inexperienced, and I had to make things up. Now that I’m older and I’ve traveled the world and had kids and have seen more and felt more, I have things to write songs about.”
