Jamie Lynn Spears To Showcase Her Everyday Life with TV Special on TLC

It’s been nearly ten years since Jamie Lynn Spears was in the limelight, and for the first time ever, she and her family invite the world to hear her side of her story. Since becoming pregnant at age 16, Jamie Lynn stepped out of the spotlight to focus on raising her daughter.

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS: WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT takes us into Jamie Lynn’s everyday life as she balances her family while pursuing a career in country music. The one-hour special premieres Sunday, June 26 at 10/9c on TLC.

Being a newlywed to husband Jamie Watson and taking care of her now seven year-old daughter Maddie, Jamie Lynn juggles a lot while also making time to write and work on new music. Jamie Lynn learns she has the opportunity of a lifetime to perform at the biggest stage in country music – the Grand Ole Opry. As she travels between Louisiana and Nashville and prepares to perform a song very close to her heart, she struggles with being away from Maddie. The pressure is on as she hopes to make a name for herself in the most important performance of her career to date. But just before she is set to take the stage, big sister Britney Spears and older brother Bryan Spears show up for an encouraging surprise to support their little sister.

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS: WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT is produced by Gurney Productions for TLC.

Dierks Bentley Releases New Single “Different For Girls” feat. Elle King To Country Radio

Already being hailed as “the best track” by PEOPLE Magazine, multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley continues the narrative of his new album BLACK with the release of the second single “Different For Girls” featuring Elle King.

Followings its iHeart world premiere, the track is available at Country Radio now and all digital retailers tomorrow (5/27) as its magnetic lyrics analyze a woman’s self-awareness and independent approach after cutting ties with a significant other.

“There is a real honesty in these lyrics, and I haven’t heard a song written this way before. The differences in how guys and girls deal with a broken heart is really interesting material to me,” shared Bentley. “Having two daughters certainly has changed the way I see the world and what they have ahead. What I love about Elle being on this record, besides her uniquely powerful but vulnerable voice, is that she’s a total badass. Having her perspective really helps tell the complete story.”

“When I got the call that Dierks wanted me to sing with him I was very honored, but I get a little shy when I’m asked to sing other people’s songs – let alone a duet with one of the biggest Country stars in the world,” added King. “Our voices blended really well together. Since I often write from the male perspective, I was really excited to be a part of someone else’s story that is jumping outside of the norm for a relationship song. The lyrics are really smart and I love that he is bringing a lot of attitude to modern country music.”

In the wake of his multi-week hold on the No. one position at country radio with BLACK’s lead single “Somewhere On A Beach,” Bentley’s “dark, sexy” (Entertainment Weekly) forthcoming album continues to garner praise from critics ahead of release for its “abstract meditation on loneliness that leads to self-awareness and redemption” (USA Today).

“It’s a trick Bentley manages again and again on BLACK, expertly weaving styles and storytelling to build memorable tales to sing along with. His duet with Elle King, ‘Different For Girls’, smartly laments how the sexes deal with a breakup, while ‘Mardi Gras,’ featuring Trombone Shorty, shows how easily Bentley can move from one genre to the next without losing his country viewpoint.” – Newsday

“A country star who has survived changing trends by being unpredictable. His songwriting has a deeply introspective side…this latest record, BLACK, is a concept album that tracks a young relationship through its peaks and valleys.” – The Guardian

“No matter what your romantic status, BLACK is a fix for all the feels.” – PEOPLE

“Matters of the heart are always at the core of Dierks Bentley’s music, but on his latest album, BLACK, the country star gets more personal than ever, covering the ups, downs and curves of a long-term relationship.” – Redbook

“As one of the hardest-working entertainers in country music” (Music Row), Bentley advances BLACK with a performance of the multi-week No. One smash “Somewhere On A Beach” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight (5/26 at 10:35P CT on NBC) before taking over Rockefeller Plaza as part of TODAY’s Summer Concert Series on BLACK Friday (5/27 at 7:00A ET/CT on NBC). The multi-Platinum singer/songwriter continues the celebration with CMT’s Instant Jam Takeover Weekend, as he co-hosts the Hot 20 Countdown (5/28 at 10:00A CT on CMT) episode from his 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR followed by the premiere of his surprise Instant Jam (5/28 at 8:00P CT on CMT) concert special from Knoxville, TN.

Chelsea Gill Gives Back with New Video “Tennessee Heat”

After working in concert lighting design and shining the spotlight on acts such as Sara Evans and Lee Ann Womack, up-and-coming country artist Chelsea Gill is stepping into the spotlight of her own with her new “Tennessee Heat” music video. The video, directed by Joshua Lockhart, captures the idea of an uncomplicated summer romance – one that you look back on and smile.

Wanting to start her career by giving back to others, Gill has decided to donate $1 for every 10 views (up to 10,000) to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. The organization provides college grants and financial assistance to surviving  children and spouses of U.S. military service members who have lost their lives as a result of their service in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars.

“With Memorial Day right around the corner, I felt I had an opportunity to honor those who gave their lives for my freedom,” said Gill. “I don’t have much to give yet, but this is a way I can give something. I hope it inspires others to give and focus on those who are in need around us.”

The Michigan native recently released her debut self-titled EP as a country singer-songwriter.
