Ryan Follese To Release Self-Titled Debut Country Album August 18

Chart-topping songwriter and entertainer Ryan Follese surprised fans on Wednesday 8/16, announcing his full-length, self-titled debut Country album will be available digitally this Friday (8/18) on BMLG Records. Prior to breaking the news, his social media account went dark this week and ambiguously teased “Something’s coming.”

He has subtly dropped hints over the last few months, previewing tracks in an opening slot on Sam Hunt’s 15 IN A 30 TOUR this summer. The crowds have been a perfect mix of the former Hot Chelle Rae frontman’s catchy melodies (MULTI-PLATINUM “Tonight, “Tonight”) infused with familial Country lyrics he was raised on with hit songwriter parents.

“I am so excited to put out this full album for the fans who grew up alongside me to those who I’ve just met out with Sam Hunt, FGL and Locash this year,” said Ryan. “You have all been a part of my return home, to my roots, and I’m really thankful for your patience during the writing process. I truly believe these songs have always been a part of me, and I hope you’ll feel something too.”

Accredited for his clever turn of phrase and musicianship on each of the 12 tracks, Ryan again embraced the sounds he was born into and turned to the people closest to him to help put the record together. His father Keith Follese (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), mother Adrienne Follese (Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride) and brother Jamie Follese (Hot Chelle Rae) alongside producer Cameron Montgomery (Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj) contributed their talents to the collection while Dann Huff (Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett) joined as co-producer on a couple of songs. Jimmy Harnen is the Executive Producer.

Kenny Chesney Unveils 30 Song Track List for Live In No Shoes Nation Album

When Kenny Chesney pulled out some tapes to listen to his last 10 years of shows, he was immediately struck by the fervor of No Shoes Nation. And the more he listened, the more he wanted to share all these moments with the people who inspire him – and took the songs to a whole other level out on the road.

“You record songs, you put’em on a record,”
Chesney marvels. “You know, people think it stops there. Even when it’s on the radio, that’s really between the listener and their life. But when you have people in your life like No Shoes Nation, I’ve come to believe, we figure out what these songs really mean when we get out there on the road and sing’em together!

“So as I was listening to some of these tapes, I decided: they’re as much the people who’ve been coming out to the shows as anybody’s! I shouldn’t be the only one listening – and that sent me down a tube into all these summers out there rocking. When I told the record company how many songs, they thought I’d lost my mind… And that was before we added ‘Young,’ which really started and defined this chapter, to the list!”

Starting where Florida meets Alabama on the Gulf Coast, Live in No Shoes Nation kicks off with over 40,000 strong hearing “Flora-Bama” for the first time, then proceeds through obscure gems, massive hits and intriguing collaborations. For Chesney, it became a sonic document of all the fun, the moments, the rising and falling action of a million+ citizen place without borders: No Shoes Nation.

“I’ve always said the energy that comes at us, it lifts us up – and really makes us take things even further. Listening, I realized we can’t take that intensity all the way in in the moment,” says the man Los Angeles Times called “the People’s Superstar” of what’s become his next project. “I wondered if everyone who’s come out to one of our shows realizes how incredible they sound; if like us, they’re so in the moment, they had no idea. They’re what makes this music special – and this, to me, was a great way to let them know it.”

With the first recording a medley with Dave Matthews from the close of 2007 Flip Flop Summer Tour, Live in No Shoes Nation pulls rarely played jewels including “I’m Alive,” “Coastal” and the deeply personal “Happy on the Hey Now,” as well as locational homages to Guy Clark with “Hemingway’s Whiskey” and Bruce Springsteen with “One Step Up.” In these quieter moments, the 2016 BMI President’s and CMA Pinnacle Award winner shows his poet’s heart.

Beyond that, there’s the high velocity good feelings that have defined Chesney’s work. Stadium shows, pop-up bar gigs, amphitheaters and the occasional beach takeover; it’s all here. As well as appearances by his friends, co-writers and tour-mates, ranging from Eric Church, Mac McAnally, David Lee Murphy, Old Dominion, Grace Potter, Taylor Swift and the Zac Brown Band.

“No Shoes Nation not only knows no boundaries, we love all kinds of music,” Chesney allows. “It’s why Grace Potter is as loved as Eric Church, why David Lee Murphy gets the same response as Zac Brown and his guys. We love life, we love music and we all really love each other!”

Kip Moore & Tony Hawk Team Up To Present “Music City Skate Jam”

Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter Kip Moore has teamed up with international skateboarding champion Tony Hawk, announcing “MUSIC CITY SKATE JAM PRESENTED BY HARLEY-DAVIDSON,” set to take place at Music City Walk Of Fame Park in Nashville, TN on 9/10.

With a shared outlook running through Moore’s “Kip’s Kids Fund” and Hawk’s “Tony Hawk Foundation” with the goal of benefiting and empowering youth, the family-friendly event will raise funds for both initiatives. The fun-stacked day will also offer a skate demo by Hawk as well as performances by red-hot newcomer Jordan Davis, Dee Jay Silver keeping the party going and will close out with a set by Moore. Tickets are available now here.

“I think what’s always driven me at my core, throughout my career, was to one day have the capability to make a major impact in inner cities around the country,” said Moore. “I was never a true skater, but always admired the brotherhood of the skating community. Having a chance to team up with a guy like Tony, who’s so respected for all he does, is beyond what I could’ve imagined. I’m super stoked to combine what we do, as we both share similar visions.”

“The Music City Skate Jam is the first event of its kind, bringing skateboarding and country music together,” said Hawk. “I’m excited to show Nashville an unprecedented display of talent, including some of the world’s best skaters and Kip Moore himself.”

“Harley-Davidson has always been passionate about supporting programs that benefit our nation’s youth,” said James Newton, Head of US Events for Harley-Davidson. “Partnering with Kip’s Kids Fund and Tony Hawk Foundation on this unique event was a perfect fit.”

Scotty McCreery Joins Triple Tigers Records

Triple Tigers Records announced that the record label has signed multi-Platinum-selling entertainer Scotty McCreery to its roster.

“We are very proud to represent Scotty McCreery,” said Triple Tigers Records General Manager Norbert Nix. “He is an absolute pro and an artist of great integrity. We were blown away when we heard ‘Five More Minutes’ and are looking forward to representing Scotty’s new music to his millions of fans.”

“I’m very excited to become part of the Triple Tigers/Sony Music Entertainment family,” said McCreery. “They believe in me and my music, they work hard, and for being a brand new company, they are already succeeding. I am fired up to see what we can achieve together.”

The ACM, BMI and CMT Award winner is currently rising up the charts with his emotional single, “Five More Minutes,” one of the most talked about songs of the year which has already earned more than 15 million streams. The song is currently #40 on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart and #46 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Chart. In its first week of release, it sold more than 22,000 paid downloads and earned the No. 6 spot on the Billboard Country Digital Sales Chart, his highest ranking on that chart since his debut single in 2011. “Five More Minutes” was released independently without a record label; instead it has been entirely marketed and promoted by McCreery and his Triple 8 Management team.

Before signing today with Triple Tigers/Sony Music, McCreery made history. As verified by Country Aircheck, “Five More Minutes” is the first song released without a record label to ever chart on the Country Aircheck / Mediabase Top 50.

“That’s awesome!” said a stunned McCreery.  “‘Five More Minutes’ is such a personal song for me and it feels like it’s become very personal for the radio listeners and concert audiences as well. To learn that it made chart history is mind-blowing. I’m proud of all the hard work that my team and I have done on our own, and I cannot wait to see what we are able to achieve working with my new family at Triple Tigers Records.”

Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Monty Criswell, “Five More Minutes” is a both a nostalgic look back at several fond memories based on McCreery’s life as well as an impassioned plea to be able to spend five more minutes with his late grandfather, whose passing served as the inspiration for the song. Country Music Hall of Fame member Randy Travis said the song is “storytelling and country music at its best” on Twitter when Five More Minutes” was released.

Chris Janson’s Sophomore Album, EVERYBODY, Available For Pre-Order Now

Hit singer/songwriter Chris Janson has an announcement, and it’s one for Everybody: his brand new sophomore album, due September 22, is available now for pre-order. The full-length project features all of the songs on his Fix A Drink – EP, including the critically-praised summer anthem of the same name, as well as seven additional tracks (full listing below). In addition to co-writing the entire record, Janson contributed to producing alongside the award-winning country music powerhouse Scott Hendricks, Brent Anderson, Chris DuBois and Craig Wiseman.

The Tennessean revealed in a post the track listing and Everybody album art. In a simple black and white, photographer Connor Dwyer captured Janson’s unique, life-loving personality.

“I’m proud of this album in every way,” said Janson. “The cover shot caught me in a great moment. I was literally laughing on the bus, talking and cracking jokes in Danny McBride fashion. A smile makes most everybody feel good, and I wrote and recorded this record for Everybody. Shooting the photography for the album was the most relaxed I’ve ever been behind a camera. It turned out exactly how I envisioned it.”

Everbody already displays the same signs of success as his major label debut, Buy Me A Boat, with lead single “Fix A Drink” currently nearing Top 20 on country radio. WBWL (Boston) PD Lance Houston selected it as one of the season’s top songs, declaring, “If [‘Fix A Drink’] doesn’t scream ‘summer,’ I’m not sure what does.”

Janson will keep the summer going as he continues on Sam Hunt’s “15 in a 30” Tour as well as his own headlining dates with his brand new music in tow.  Declared “ridiculously high-energy” (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), the harmonica-playing, guitar-slinging, drum-banging multi-instrumentalist is igniting crowds all across the country. He will stay on the road into the fall with special appearances on Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s “Soul2Soul” Tour (dates below).
