Kane Brown Partners with Make Room Inc. To Raise Awareness for Struggling Renters

Kane Brown is partnering with Make Room Inc. to shine a spotlight on the critical issue of struggling renters in America. On Tuesday, September 12, the country music newcomer will participate in a congressional briefing at the Hart Building on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

The goal of the briefing is to expose the human suffering and societal costs of the rental housing crisis, reinforce the importance of placing affordable rental housing on the national agenda, and advocate for bold solutions that will end housing insecurity. Members of Congress, staff, and impacted families will also participate in the briefing.

“We are thrilled to be teaming up with Kane Brown, one of country music’s most dynamic young stars,” said Ali Solis, President and CEO of Make Room Inc. “As someone who has experienced housing insecurity first hand, Kane knows how devastating its impact can be on a family. With his big heart and powerful appeal, Kane will be a wonderful partner for Make Room as we give voice to struggling renters across the country,” she added.

Eleven million households nationwide spend more than half of their income just on rent, while making sacrifices such as forgoing food, healthcare, and other necessities. That’s 1 in 4 of all renter households and 25 million Americans, including 9 million children, who face housing insecurity each year.

“When I was younger, my mom and I lived in a car because we didn’t have anywhere to go. After graduating from high school, even though I was working, I didn’t have enough money to pay rent so I stayed with my Nana,” Kane Brown revealed. “I’m proud to partner with Make Room to help other people who have been in similar housing situations. I just want people to know that they can make it through hard times like I did.”

The RCA Nashville/Zone 4 recording artist from Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, whose Top 15 single “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina, with over 13 million views on VEVO, was just Certified Gold, will stand side-by-side with Make Room Inc., the nation’s leading organization working to address the rental housing crisis in America. Together, Kane Brown and Make Room will share the stories of real families, who can’t make rent today, and advocate for bold solutions that will end housing insecurity once and for all.

Fans are encouraged to tell their own stories about struggling to make rent or elaborate on how Kane Brown’s backstory resonates with them by uploading a video message HERE. Those who share a video story may join Brown for the opportunity to be part of the #MakeRoomKaneVideo in Washington, DC on September 12.

Luke Combs Releases “When It Rains It Pours” Music Video

River House Artists/Columbia Nashville singer-songwriter Luke Combs hits a surprise stroke of good luck in the narrative video for his hit single “When It Rains It Pours”.  Combs co-wrote the video treatment with director Tyler Adams and recruited his high school best friends to join him for the two-day shoot over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in Charleston.

Living out the song’s storyline, the video follows Combs and friends as the artist, starring as the lead, strikes good fortune after the abrupt end of a relationship.

“Every night on tour when we start playing “When It Rains It Pours”, you can feel the fans kick it up a notch. It’s just a fun song and I always think ‘Damn, I kinda wanna be this guy in the song. He’s got it figured out.’ So for the video, I convinced my buddies to meet me in Charleston, we traced the footsteps of the song for two days at the beach and somehow they let us film it as an official music video,” explains Combs. “I hope the fans have as much fun watching this as we had making it.”

Fans can catch Combs’ live show on the road this fall as he embarks on his headlining Don’t Tempt Me With A Good Time Tour kicking off October 3rd in Los Angeles and making stops in 25 markets across the country. Pre-sale tickets are available now and general on-sale starts this Friday, August 18th on LukeCombs.com.

Russell Dickerson’s Hit Single “Yours” Certified Gold

Singer/songwriter Russell Dickerson’s fan-favorite love song and current single, “Yours” has skyrocketed to more than 500,000 combined units of streams and sales, cementing its RIAA Gold Certification.

Propelled by SiriusXM’s support and Spotify’s play-listing, “Yours” has 50 million+ digital streams, boosting it to Gold while the single is now Top 30-and-climbing on the Country airplay charts. The love song found its way into wedding receptions and love stories around the country, prompting Dickerson to create a separate acoustic wedding version of the song before the track was ever shipped to radio.

“I wrote this song about a woman that changed my life,” said Dickerson. “Now this song has absolutely changed mine. ‘Yours’ is such a personal song to me, and it going Gold lets me know my fans connect with it as much as I do. I thank them for welcoming me into their homes, their cars, their wedding days and their lives. They’re not my fans, they’re my fam!”

Called the love song of the year by The Knot, “Yours” is the title track and lead single of Dickerson’s debut album due October 13 on Triple Tigers Records, a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment. Written with long-time friends Casey Brown and Parker Welling, Dickerson dedicated the song to his wife after realizing what a better man he was after finding her. “Yours” has recently made fans swoon on NBC’s TODAY show and ABC’s The Bachelorette and the music video for the song that was directed by his wife for $6 has more than 5 million views on YouTube.

Fans can pre-order YOURS here and instantly receive five tracks including “Yours,” the companion wedding version, streaming hit “Blue Tacoma,” “MGNO” and “Every Little Thing.”
