Miranda Lambert is gearing up to release her highly anticipated studio album, The Weight Of These Wings, on November 18. To celebrate the release of her forthcoming album, the singer/songwriter has shipped her latest single, “We Should Be Friends” to country radio today. The new track is one of 24 (yes twenty-four) from the new double album release.
“We Should Be Friends” is the second release from The Weight Of These Wings, following up her widely popular lead single “Vice.” The new track is one that she wrote all on her own, and co-wrote 19 of the additional tracks on the album, ultimately leaving only four tracks that she did not have a hand in writing.
To further celebrate the release of The Weight Of These Wings, Lambert is set to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 17, and on the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS November 24. Additional media appearances are anticipated to be announced in the coming days.
The Weight Of These Wings will be in retail stores as well as digital media outlets on Friday, November 18. Order your copy on iTunes here.
