Rising country artist Levi Hummon is set to release his debut self-titled EP on Friday, April 1. Signed with The Valory Music Co., the new project features five strong songs, four of which were co-written by Hummon, and serves as a solid introduction to the country newcomer.
Levi delivers an album that is infused with several elements to enjoy, including his smooth vocals and enjoyable music arrangements, that captivates listeners with a fresh, progressive vibe he’s bringing to the genre.
Kicking the EP off with “Life’s for Livin’,” Hummon instantly introduces his sound on the up-beat, feel good track. The momentum continues throughout as Levi showcases his dynamic vocals and expressive lyrics, such as with creative tracks “Chain Reaction” and “Love You Hate You Miss You.” Hummon delivers both passion and conviction with “Guts and Glory,” a powerful anthem that will no doubt fill many with the same emotion the artist conveys during the song. “Window Down Days” concludes the EP and provides the ideal theme to be carefree and enjoy the moments. It’s perfectly timed to start enjoying now as we transition out of the cold months into spring and summer.
While the country newcomer is the son of Marcus Hummon, a popular Grammy-Award winning songwriter, he’s also effectively making a name for himself, and leaving an impressive mark on country music with this new release. Each of the five songs on this album can easily make for a great fit on country radio, and on the country charts. Not an easy feat to accomplish in the slightest, but Levi in fact does with the quality material released on this EP. This is an album that can be on repeat, and still leave you wanting to hear it again (and again…).
