After months of tabloids and speculated reports circling country power couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, it has been confirmed that they are indeed divorcing.
In a joint statement, Lambert and Shelton indicated, “This is not the future we envisioned,” their representatives said in a statement to The Associated Press. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
The couple wed in May 2011.
