Craig Morgan is paying tribute to the men and women who serve our country with the release of his new song, “Blanket Of Stars,” arriving July 3, just ahead of America’s 250th birthday. The new track is available for pre-save/pre-add here.
Written by Johnny Cummings and Krista Marie, and produced by Phil O’Donnell and Mickey Jack Cones, the heartfelt track reflects on the sacrifices made by military members and their families. Drawing from his own experiences as both a country artist and Army Reserve soldier, Morgan says the song speaks directly to the dedication and service that have shaped the nation for more than two centuries.
“Going back more than two centuries, our great nation has an inspiring record of military service and it’s a reminder of the sacrifices our military personnel make to protect the freedoms we have all come to know and love,” shares Craig. “‘Blanket Of Stars’ is one of those songs that speaks directly about that sacrifice.”
Fans can also celebrate Independence Day with Morgan throughout the holiday weekend. He’ll host “4th of July Guest DJ with Craig Morgan” on SiriusXM’s Y2Kountry (Channel 57), featuring patriotic favorites in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Morgan will also host and perform during the America Salutes You Armed Forces 250th Birthday special, streaming July 1 on Disney+ and Hulu.
