Leave it to Thomas Rhett to take a well known classic and put his own TR twist on it, resulting in absolute magic. That’s exactly what the country superstar has done with “Georgia On My Mind,” and the timing couldn’t be better.
With the 2026 Masters Tournament right around the corner, Rhett’s rendition of the iconic track is featured as part of ESPN’s official campaign for the prestigious golf event.
“Georgia On My Mind” is no stranger to the Masters Tournament, as the song has long been tied to the tradition and journey to Augusta National Golf Club. That connection hits even closer to home here, with Thomas Rhett being a Georgia native himself, hailing from Valdosta.
“Recording ‘Georgia On My Mind’ was a pretty surreal moment for me,” shared Thomas Rhett. “Being from Georgia, sports and music are both just in my blood. Obviously nobody can touch the original, but it meant a lot to me to be asked to honor both the song and tradition of the Masters.”
Rhett’s version of “Georgia On My Mind” is out now. Give it a listen HERE and check out ESPN’s campaign video featuring Rhett’s track.
