Singer/Songwriter Dave Herrera is hard at work, both day and night. The California native spends his days in the world of real estate, and his evenings are filled with country music – writing, singing and performing.

Herrera recently released his latest track, “Visiting Nashville,” and also revealed a music video for the new song showcasing the nights and lights from the iconic “Broadway” strip in Nashville, TN. Check it out here.

During this years Country Radio Seminar (CRS) event, which was held virtually, Dave Herrera shared details with us about his new music and much more! Check out our exclusive interview with the artist on the rise, and be sure keep up with him via his Official Website, and follow on  Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

CountryMusicRocks (CMR): Tell us a little about your new collection of music in 2021, what can fans expect?
Dave Herrera: I have a variety of new music that I will be releasing in 2021. It will feature everything including poetic country, party country, dance country, and country-rock. I am just all over the board, you know!
You can listen to “Visiting Nashville”, “Boys Were Back In Town,” and
“Hollywood Sign” on streaming platforms now!

CMR: Even though 2021 is not completely certain quite yet, what are some of your career goals throughout the year?
Dave Herrera: I am working to put new music on streaming platforms for people to hear. We hope to play some live shows if we are able to safely do so!

CMR: In addition to performing, what else did you miss most not being able to be out on the road last year during 2020?
Dave Herrera: I’ve been missing everything that I took for granted – even something like sitting down at the movie theater with a bucket of popcorn!

CMR: If everything goes as planned, and performing/touring resumes for this year, how would you best describe your shows/set for 2021?
Dave Herrera: I can tell you our shows will be high energy, loud, entertaining, and fun! We want people to enjoy the moment.

CMR: As fans continue to get to know you, what is one thing you would like to convey to fans about you and your music?
Dave Herrera: I want people to know that we have a great time writing about life experiences! I write songs about both fun and serious moments and some songs for a party atmosphere. Also, each song has a strong meaning to me, and for some songs, I further explain the meaning with my music videos!

CMR: Even though CRS is quite a bit different this year, we are still celebrating country radio which is such a staple to everyone in the country music community. What is one of your all time favorite country songs that you just can’t get enough of country radio?
Dave Herrera: Country Radio is definitely a staple in the community, and we need to all work together to keep the music rolling! I would say I can’t get enough of Little Big Town’s new track “Wine Beer Whiskey.”

“In My Own Words” | Fast, Fun Facts with Dave Herrera:

Favorite Food to Indulge On While On The Road: Eating on the road is one of my favorites as there are always new places to try! However, I really indulge with Taco Bell; it’s usually quick, convenient, and consistent!

Go-To Drink of Choice: My go-drink is for sure a cold Pepsi! I pair that with some peanut M&M’s!

Favorite TV Series: I can’t stop watching Ozark! When there is a new season, we will blow through the entire season in a couple of days! I always thought it would be cool to have a drink with the writers of Ozark. They are so creative, and I wonder what experiences the writers have been through.

Dream Collaboration: I’d say Willie Nelson for sure! I would love to just chill and write a song with him – I have a few ideas too!

Never Have I Ever: I have never been sky diving and I don’t think I ever will – unless it was with a Navy Seal or Army Rangers jump team!

Favorite Career Moment (So Far): My favorite moment was when my mom watched my new docu-series “The Shit Show” (which is now on YouTube) and she couldn’t stop laughing, best moment ever.
