Artist on the rise Daniel Borge is bringing sharing new music with the recent release of latest track, “There I Was.” Born in Norway and now residing in Nashville, Borge has created a fan base from sea to sea. Written by Dave Thomson (“Champagne Nights”/Lady Antebellum) and produced by Brad Hill (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Brett Young), “There I Was” serves as a fantastic release for the country newcomer.

Daniel Borge shared details with us about his new music during the virtual Country Radio Seminar (CRS) earlier this year. Check out our exclusive interview and be sure to keep up with Danial Borge by visiting his Website and following him on  Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Country Music Rocks (CMR): Tell us a little about your new collection of music in 2021, what can fans expect?
Daniel Borge: My goal is to release a song every other month until August. Then, I will drop an album. I’m really excited about that!

CMR: Even though 2021 is not completely certain quite yet, what are some of your career goals throughout the year?
Daniel Borge: I hope to get to play at as many songwriters rounds as possible when it’s safe to do so and to grow my fan base as much as possible.

CMR:  In addition to performing, what else did you miss most not being able to be out on the road last year during 2020?
Daniel Borge: I miss hanging out with the guys before and after gigs! The experience of having a beer and chatting with friends is kind of gone at the moment, but I’m hopeful that life will eventually return to normal.

CMR: If everything goes as planned, and performing/touring resumes for this year, how would you best describe your shows/set for 2021?
Daniel Borge: If we are able to safely perform live, we will have a brand-new acoustic show that will be really stripped down. It will be a much more intimate experience!

CMR: As fans continue to get to know you, what is one thing you would like to convey to fans about you and your music?
Daniel Borge: I want my fans to relate to me as just a regular guy. One thing that stuck with me after my first visit to Nashville was how down-to-earth the artists can be. They had the best shows on stage and then, after the show, they came down near us and had a beer. That’s how I want my fans to feel I am – a regular guy that will join you and your friends for a beer!

CMR: Even though CRS is quite a bit different this year, we are still celebrating country radio which is such a staple to everyone in the country music community. What is one of your all time favorite country songs that you just can’t get enough of country radio?
Daniel Borge: I’d say “It’s a Great Day To Be Alive” by Travis Tritt. That song always makes me happy!
