Coming off his first-ever ACM Award nomination for New Male Artist of the Year, Michael Ray is celebrating his third career No. 1 on the Mediabase country radio singles chart this week with his addictive hit single “One That Got Away.

It’s the first single to hit the top spot on the charts from his critically acclaimed album Amos, which debuted in the Top 3 on the Billboard country albums chart upon its release last summer.

“From the moment we began playing ‘One That Got Away’ in our live show, we could feel it was a special song,” Ray said after getting the good news. “What makes it even more meaningful to me is that’s it’s the first number one single from Amos, which personally is a record that means so much to me.”

Penned by Nashville hit-makers Josh Osborne, Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen and Jesse Frasure, “One that Got Away” now joins Ray’s previous No. 1s “Think a Little Less” and “Kiss You in the Morning,” and continues a career ascension propelled by the Florida native’s drive to succeed.

Ray celebrated his latest professional accomplishment in Las Vegas, serving as a co-host for the official PEOPLE  red carpet pre-show telecast at the 54thAcademy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 7). Soon after, Ray also served as an award presenter on the show alongside fiancé Carly Pearce, which aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

“Grew up watching the ACM Awards,” Ray posted on his Instagram page on Thursday (April 4) alongside a pic of him looking out at the Vegas skyline. “I can’t believe I get to be part of them this year.”

Ray will now get back on the road starting Wednesday (April 10) to continue his popular Nineteen Tour, which will include performances at Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, Stagecoach and Country Thunder in the coming months.
