Continuing their lightning-speed ascent up the Country radio charts, MIDLAND marks their entry into the Top 15 with My Opry Debut. Watch now.

Filmed in Nashville’s Music Row area haunt Bobby’s Idle Hour, the episode chronicles the band’s day leading up to their first steps into the legendary circle at the Grand Ole Opry. Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson and Cameron Duddy divulge the surreal moments that ignited Midland’s formation. From desert walks in Austin post writing sessions – easing creative tensions – to tearing up over the legendary acts that have performed before them, the trio reflects on the wild ride they have endured.

“You can’t play music without the spirit, so the spirit is very heavy in here,” shared Cam with Jess adding, “All you can hope for as an artist is to one day be a part of that spirit.”

Josh Osborne, co-writer and co-producer of Midland’s self-titled Big Machine Records EP, shed light on their collaborations. Fellow co-writer and co-producer Shane McAnally joined the special night to watch the Texan trio perform in the hallowed circle, further showcasing Rolling Stone Country’s sentiment that “…the reason they look and sound great is because they’re orchestrators of their own cool.”

Midland’s story is the latest installment in the My Opry Debut series, which follows Country music’s promising acts as they make their first appearance on the genre’s most esteemed platform. For additional episodes, visit youtube.com/opry.
