RCA recording artist Jake Owen has always had a personal relationship with his fans; inviting them out on his boat or meeting them at the Waffle House is something he has done on many occasions. So, on the afternoon of Cinco de Mayo, Owen decided it was the perfect time to world premiere the music video for his new single, “Good Company,” and he wanted to share the video with his fans first.
He did a Facebook Live post from his tour bus, and posted the link to the clip immediately after, which you can view here.
“I’m really proud to share what ‘Good Company’ is to me,” says Owen, regarding his brand new music video. “Hanging out with friends and family, and making good memories is what it is all about. We took a couple of cameras, my twin brother, Jarrod, and some great friends down to the beautiful island of Grand Cay, Bahamas. It’s one of my favorite places in the world to visit, and it’s only a 30-minute flight from my hometown in Florida. We filmed our three-day ‘hang out,’ and that’s exactly what you see. We fished, went snorkeling, ate some great food and shared a few cold beverages. To me, that’s my kind of ‘Good Company.’”
The music video was shot and directed by Colin Cooper and Austin Bever, with That’s Classic Media, who shot all of the behind the scenes footage on Jake’s “Love Bus Road Trip” from Nashville to Key West last year.
In addition, Owen’s high-energy performances are in high demand. On Saturday, he performed several of his No. 1 hits at the iHeart Music Festival in Austin, TX.
“Good Company” was the No. 1 most-added single out of the box and is currently climbing the country radio charts.
