Whether he is thinking more – or maybe a little less – nothing can change the power of Michael Ray’s music. The breakout artist earned his second No. 1 on Mediabase this week with his hit single “Think A Little Less.”

“I’m excited every time I step on stage or hear my songs come on the radio,” Ray said. “That’s why I started playing in bars at 17 years old. To have a second No. 1 song is so incredible, and I want to say thanks to country radio, my fans and all the people that worked so hard on this. I FaceTimed my dad when I found out, and it was pretty emotional. He’s been there beside me, encouraging me, on this whole journey – so a special thanks to him!”

With more than 780 million airplay audience impressions, over 15 million streams and nearly a quarter million digital tracks sold, “Think A Little Less” has earned praise from fans and critics alike. Taste of Country commended the song for “a convincing lyric that paints multi-sensory images,” while Whiskey Riff simply called it “smoking hot.”

“Think A Little Less” follows the chart-topping “Kiss You In The Morning” from his self-titled debut album. Ray became only debut male country artist to achieve a No. 1 single in 2015. Produced by the award-winning Scott Hendricks, the record entered the Billboard Country Album Chart in the Top 5 upon release.

Ray spent the past two years supporting the album with shows around the country, including Darius Rucker’s “Good For A Good Time” tour with label mates Dan + Shay. After years on the road as a support act, opening for some of the most popular acts in the format including Rucker, Sam Hunt, Brantley Gilbert, and Kip Moore, the singer/songwriter and performer just wrapped his headlining “Think A Little Less” tour. His live performances have been greeted with overwhelming success, with Digital Journal calling him “infectious” and Nash Country Daily declaring that he “displays the energy and polish of a pro.”

Ray is currently working on new music due later this year.
