Earlier this week Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren brought a cause that is near and dear to their hearts to the forefront in Nashville. With his first-ever charity concert event, over $250,000 was raised to benefit the 147 Million Orphans organization. Billed as Thomas Rhett & Friends, the intimate evening included performances by Rhett, country superstar Dierks Bentley, and a songwriters round featuring Russell Dickerson, Walker Hayes and Shane McAnally. Additionally, a special surprise appearance was made by Florida Georgia Line.
“Last night was an unreal experience for me and Lauren, to see our hometown, as well as people from all over the country, coming together to support something that’s so important to us,” said Thomas Rhett. “Tuesday nights are like Saturday nights to artists, so I want to be sure to thank Dierks, Brian and Tyler, Shane, Walker and Russell for giving up part of their weekends to make it such a special night, and help us raise money and awareness for this amazing cause.”
